How to test your Battery ?

• Cranking Test

Entering cranking test and starting the engine as prompted. Tester will display cranking voltage and the cranking time to check the starting motor works properly or not.If cranking voltage value is lower than 9.6V, the cranking system is bad,so need to replace it.Otherwise higher than 10.2V is good.

• Charging Test

The tester displays results of ripple test,loaded and unloaded with reliable data to let you know battery status.

• How to Test Your Battery ?

Choose Battery Test Mode - Select Battery Type - Select Battery Model - Get the Testing Result.Test Result including Voltage,system standards,SOH (State of Health), SOC (State of Charge), Current, Rating.

• Battery Tester Results:

GOOD BATTERY: The battery is in good condition.

GOOD-RECHARGE: The battery is in good condition but low current. Fully charge the battery and return it to service.

CHARGE & RETEST: Fully charge the battery and retest. Failure to fully charge the battery before testing may result in inaccurate results. If you still get message after you fully charge the battery, replace it.

REPLACE BATTERY: The battery is almost dead or the connection between the battery and battery cable is poor. Replace the battery and retest; or disconnect the battery cables and retest the battery using the out-of-vehicle test before replacing it.

BAD CELL-REPLACE: The battery may be damaged such as broken cell or short circuit. Replace the battery and retest.

What causes low cranking voltage?

A starter that's failing may crank the engine too slowly for a quick start, or it may not crank the engine at all. Often, the problem is not the starter but a low battery or a loose or corroded battery cable connection.If the battery's voltage is low and it doesn't take a charge, your customer needs a new battery.

Charging Test

After the cranking test completed, DO NOT switch off the ignition and press OK key to test charging system.
