Answer:	They are simply for "hooking" the end of your hoses (ones that connect to car) when not using the gauge set. It's a glorified coat hook to keep things nice and clean.

Answer:	The type of Freon doesn't matter to the vacuum pump. I have used mine on both a car and a home AC unit. This pump should accommodate the fittings on your Jeep. If you use it on a home type AC unit you will need different adapters to fit the ports on the AC. These are inexpensive and easily obtained on Amazon.
Question:	Dumb Question? Where is the refigerant stored when pulling a vacuum
Answer:	To answer your question directly, the refrigerant is stored in a refrigerant recovery tank / refrigerant recovery machine. Ironically, if you had a recovery machine, you wouldn't need to buy this kit.. Refrigerant will not be in the system when when drawing down into a vacuum. This kit allows you to vacuum the system and charge new refrigerant back into the system. Nothing about it recovers and stores refrigerant.

Answer:	My 8cfm pump says "1 HP" on the side. I assume its different for each CFM though.In HG and due to my elevation I'm only suppose to pull a vac of "28.4HG" and I did with my old pump. Question:	I tried pulling up on red cap it will not budge worried it may break why do they make this so difficult to understand? it says remove red exhaust knob and [email protected]
Answer:	The Red "Cap" in the center of the pump, directly above the sight glass, is an exhaust vent only. You do not fill the pump with oil through this vent. If you fill through this vent the foam element will become saturated and the pump will spit a tremendous amount of oil during operation.The confusion is that the instructions say to remove the red oil plug to fill the pump. This oil plug is located next to the handle, opposite the vacuum ports, and is not obvious when looking at the unit. The Exhaust Valve, however, is extremely visible and has "OIL" emblazoned upon it in large letters. This is only to indicate that oil can exhaust from this port during operation and that you should aim the unit so nothing is damaged by the oil.I made this mistake and was really worried that I had ruined the unit. Luckily there were no adverse effects beyond the mess. It would be a much better design if they would change the color of one of the plugs and/or Change the word "OIL" to "EXHAUST".

Answer:	Not 100% sure but less than 500ml... You do not need to REPLACE the oil you only need to check level and REFILL if needed..

Answer:	The unit I had measured 90-95 db. A little bit outside of OSHA regulations for an enclosed area. Pump worked fine, but I returned it and found a pump that was 45 db, super quiet but it costed much more money.

Answer:	Try taking some tie wraps on the tubing that goes around the zerk fittings or try ace hardware and see if they can match the size you need. Auto parts store don’t really have a good selection of tubing
