I always use a jack (or lower the implement on to a pair/trio). I wouldn't even attempt to drive up/on to these as they roll nicely (that's why I bought them!) and they'd almost certainly kick out. I do think these have made my life MUCH simpler, not to mention the time saved. I have a front-mount snow blower, a standard loader, a box blade, and a rotary cutter - each of these now has a multi-use 'jig' so I can share the dollies amongst them during implement changeout, etc. SO GLAD I got these - 5 Stars!!!

Answer:	The 2 arms don't actually raise. The hydraulic cylinder pulls the arms together and the tire should roll up on to them. With the height of the wheel and the diameter of the arm, you should be able to lift a wheel several inches.
