Answer:	I don't really know but I can tell you, as someone who's career was in the tire business, that your tire life will depend in large part on how well you maintain things like air pressure and wheel alignment. Also, your driving style and the type of driving you do will come into play. The AltiMAX is a long life tire. Under good care and driving conditions you should have no problem getting 50-60 thousand miles out of them. You could get more but, depending on the climate where you live, at that point you might opt to replace the tires if their tread is worn below 4/32" due to some decrease in wet traction or snow performance. Getting 80 thousand miles out of any tire is not likely. Incidentally, my experience with these tires so far has been very positive. Good luck & take good care of whatever tires you get.

Answer:	I think the fit your vehicle tool isn't the best with tires. There are so many tire brands/sizes that it doesn't correctly identify them all maybe.. These tires come in all different sizes, including one which fits the forester. I don't remember the size off the top of my head, but read the number on your current tires and order that size. Ignore the Amazon prompt if it's says that size doesn't work. If it's the same size, than it will.
