Answer:	Sorry, but I.ve never tried them in sand.... However, I have tried them here in East Texas where we have black land clay... They do not work at all with the soil we have. I don't recommend you spending your money for them until you can find somebody that has actually used the in sandy soil.

Answer:	The regular Truck/SUV model fits most tires. The "Oversize - XL" model is for the big Off-Road Mudder Tires. If you run a strap through your rim and around the tire as the Trac-Grabber would be installed and then measure the length, the regular Truck/SUV model is good for 40 inches or less. Over 40 inches requires the Oversize XL model.
