Answer:	Hello Chillintime, If your wind cups are not spinning, we would recommend using a graphite powder or spray lubricant to lubricate the bearings. To do so, put a very small amount of lubricant on the axle near where the axle meets the house and turn the axle to get it down inside on the bearings. Answer:	I am not aware of one. I had the same problem and it appears others had too. I had to replace my unit after about 5 years because my rain gauge had quit working. The good thing is the up graded unit works with the monitor so you only have to replace the outside unit.

We 'cobbled' a battery pack for our ambient weather using rechargable batteries A small solar panel and ran wire to connections on roof and it works. Not for resale as If it blows up or something stupid happens, i dont wanna be sued good luck.

Answer:	Hello Sparkyman, Typically when removing batteries from the sensor, the display will need to be reset. It is possible that the sensor will reconnect without having to reset the display. If you do lose connection and connection is not reestablished, Please verify you are using a high quality standard alkaline battery and try the troubleshooting steps listed below. Answer:	Yes, the timer supports a physical rain sensor in addition to the smart watering rain delays. The app does not currently recognize the physical rain sensor but the timer will work properly. Unplug the timer before connecting any external accessories including rain sensors.
Question:	How does the smart watering featuring obtain the weather conditions? What service does it use
Answer:	Be very wary of this feature. Where we live in Texas there is sometimes a weather forecast with "Rain". That might mean the briefest of showers - like 1 or 2 minutes, a handful of drops of rain - but it shuts the system down for 2 days. (I changed my location to Death Valley, California - apparently it hasn't rained there all year so my watering has not been shut off).

Answer:	Looked on the Orbit web site, discussion board - lots posted there about this subject: seems there is lots of frustration about Orbit not providing an ETA for google home/assistant compatibility. AND, again, according to Orbit's posts - they are not sure if google home compatibility will be a software upgrade or if WE WILL HAVE TO BUY A NEW 2ND GENERATION UNIT.

Answer:	The wired sensor will only read temperature at it's location and will be noted on the unit at 'OUT'. It's the unit itself that will sense humidity and also the temperature (labeled 'IN') where it's at. So, you can put the sensor in the parrot room but it will only tell you the temperature there. The wire is almost 6 feet long.

Question:	How long does the battery last? How often do you have to recharge the batteries
Answer:	3 to 6 months? Lmao yea right. Not even close. Try 2 weeks tops if you are lucky. You might get 2 months if you never check live video and it only records like 1 time a day but any normal person will be checking the live feed a couple times a day, multiple recordings etc....so no you won't even get close to that they claim.
Question:	To many reviews about this camera and bad wifi connection.are they true? Does the battery really holds for 2 months without recharging
Answer:	I am not sure why others are having a difficult time. I have zero wifi issues. I've had mine for over 2 months and it is still running strong. It does have to be in a location that has less traffic. Mine is set up on my front patio and works great. Sometimes I think some reviewers have not done their homework or read the instructions. Don't expect it to run like a $200 wired camera. Wyze had to make some compromises to make the battery life better. I still think all the Wyze cams are a bargain.

Answer:	Not far enough. I have one of my cameras 20 feet away and it’s fine. The other camera is about 35 feet away and the signal is not so great.

Answer:	This device does not require a subscription for service..... But, without the subscription, the unit will capture a 12 second clip upon sensing motion. This is for to short of a time to provide any evidence. Any recording to SD card must be manually activated or scheduled. It will not record all motion that is sensed to the SD card as the other wired Wyze Cams do.

Answer:	I believe that if there is a computer connection on the readout, the file created in your computer may be in a format that can be sent. You would have to download from the unit and see what you get and see if the weather service could use the file. There used to be local weather nets that took data from private sources.

I needed that 10ft length, since I am using the transmitter at the end of a lake pier, with the probe dropped in the water, where water level can vary by 6 or 8 ft. You will have to be careful in your soldering, cover it generously with liquid tape, and tolerate a slight error in reading. It works great. Charlie 21
Question:	I have an outdoor hot tub located 200' from a ws-1400-ip base station in central alaska. will this unit work with the base down to 0f
Answer:	Cannot find WS-1400 among the compatible base stations for this probe on the ambient web site or either manual. Zero degrees for the probe is no problem, but 200' is a bit distant for the transmitter. I've been lucky to get 75'. Have also found the transmitter not to be too weather tolerant.

Answer:	To answer question number one about replacing it 5n6 I'm not sure about that unit but the 10B I believe it can but I want to discuss my experience with the ws10 overall unit versus the ambient 3000 which recordes data in The answer number two the f007tp has a solid plastic plug for a sensor at the end of that wire. I have been busy since I purchased the 3000 unit that records data and since I bought the WS 10 unit that seems to be a cheaper version and from my experience comparing the two units side by side the WS 10 is not as accurate as I see it about 4 to 5 degrees difference higher and lower then the 3,000. I've been doing some troubleshooting to see why the difference as I calibrated both units side by side with their thermometers and humidity in it and they were all the same when I got done and I put them in their locations and I put some sensors of each unit side-by-side in various places and they're not recording the same. I haven't had time to call Ambient to talk to him about what I might be doing but from what I have formed my opinion off the data that I've collected so far I think your way money had to purchase the ambient 3000 unit that record the data with an SD chip versus buying the ws10. What my plans are is when I get caught up I'm going to post my information but first before doing that I'm talking to ambient about what I'm seeing with their units. And I just thought about the WS 10 unit with the wire that comes off in probe that you would stick in to a refrigeration unit or freezer which I'm using it for. I found out it's not very accurate in a freezer or refrigerator versus the 3000 and also when I compare it to like a Dometic Refrigeration freezer combination unit that I have versus what the the Dometic digital temperature gauge for the refrigeration and freezer unit shows and I thought there was something wrong with the Dometic Refrigeration freezer gauges but after sticking the 3,000 in next to the W S10 unit which is that 007 unit you were asking about I found out there is a big difference and the 3000 Compares closer to the Dometic versus the ws10. So I'm not sure if it's something to do with how often the ambient sensors read or send the data from the thermometer to the control panel so them are some questions I have for ambient. My questions kind of lengthy but just thought you should know. Hope this helps some.

Answer:	The weather station is powered by 2 AA batteries (not included). But you do get a USB cable with the package. To plug it in you will need to have a DC 4.5V plugin. We just sit ours in handy locations & push the button on top when we are curious - like with all the darkness here "is it still snowing?" There would be little flakes floating on the barometer. I love my weather station & have bought another to have one on each floor. Then we had one sent to my son in Michigan. For weather-following enthusiasts it is a great hobby. We get temps -30 here and we enjoy watching the numbers go up & down throughout the day & night. We hung our 2 sensors in different parts of the yard. I hope this helps.

Answer:	No, there is no barometer. The wind reading is not instantaneous and it seems to be an average over a short period of time so gusts are not the right speed. If you use the app you will see that everything is averaged out over time periods which is to save storage and data transmission rates. All these deficiencies are acceptable for home use but not for a "true" weather station which are easily 10 times or more the cost.

Answer:	I guess you could call it wind chill, there is a “feels like” number.
Question:	What kind of batteries do the sensors use? How long do they last in freezing temperatures
Answer:	Per the manual, Good fresh batteries are important for best performance in your sensors and as backup in your station. Batteries with an expiration date of 2020, were manufactured in 2010. We recommend batteries with an expiration date no more than 6 years in advance of the current year for best performance. A minimum voltage of 1.48 v per battery is required for best performance. Lithium batteries may be used in outdoor sensors. Alkaline batteries for the station. There is no listing of life of battery in cold or freezing temperatures. It would depend on the condition of the battery.
Question:	Do you have to hook this up to a "smart"phone thing/ap in order to get the correct wind speed or will it work on it's own? own

Answer:	I am unsure what connections you have on your hose. This attaches to a standard tank connection without leaking. Our camper is put away for the year so I could not check for you at this time.

Answer:	Not sure - you can get a 5' extension sewer kit, and their 20' sewer hose pictured on Amazon looks like they joined 2 x 10'. While ours is the 15' one, you realistically only get 13' distance. Perhaps contact Camco themselves, since previous replies seem contracdictory.
Question:	we just tried to use this hose today and it was a VERY loose fit. We decided not to take the risk and didnt use it. is this normal
Answer:	Mine didn't even last a few weeks. I travel often, so disconnecting/reconnecting happens often. The threading where the black hose connects with the orange parts (connectors to the RV and the ground sewer system) have threading sort of like that of a garden hose, where you can screw/unscrew its parts. Once the parts are off, I could never connect it, and even at these connections sites, it was always loose, making it completely useless! so now, I only buy the DOMINATOR hose. Much better and very pleased with the DOMINATOR instead. I have never had a problem with my other choice/purchase and it's much more reliable and better made.

The sturdy polyolefin is reinforced with steel wire for an ultra-tough hose. It is also collapsible, so you only have to extend as much hose as you need. This kit features a bayonet fitting with four prongs for a more secure fit. At the dump-station end, we've added a transparent elbow with an easily detachable 4-in-1 adapter for connecting to 3-inch slip or 3-inch, 3-1/2-inch and 4-inch NPT threaded sewer connections. The kit also includes a storage cap for each end. The hose and permanent, no leak fittings compress to 56-inches for storage and once the 4-in-1 adapter is removed, you can store the hose in standard 4-inch square bumpers.

How it Works

The RhinoFLEX 15-Foot Sewer Hose has a bayonet-style fitting that connects securely onto your RV's sewer outlet. A collapsible hose assembly extends up to 15-feet from your RV to the dump station, and the steel wire allows you to shape the hose so that it will stay put. The 4-in-1 adapter fits any sewer connection and secures to your hose, eliminating the need for weights to keep it in place.

The transparent elbow allows you to see when your tank is empty. When you are finished emptying your tanks and have rinsed out your hose, simply collapse the hose, secure the end caps into place to prevent unwanted dripping and store in your 4-inch square or larger bumper.
