Answer:	On top of the black portion, there is a single slot for a screw driver. Also, a pair of arrows indicating the direction to turn the screw to either increase or decrease the pressure through the regulator. I have found that it works well even though it hasn't been put through a season of use. I am using it in my greenhouse to modify the water pressure in the expandable hose used there. I have a constant pressure pump on my well set at 75 psi and have burst many expandable hoses.

Answer:	My wife and I bought a couple of acres in Louisiana 5 years ago and set up a Travel Trailer to live in full time. We bought this regulator early in 2017 to bring the pressure down from 86 psi to 48 psi. you wouldn't believe the difference it makes. Answer:	Have run a small campground for 50+ years. This type of regulator is highly susceptible to tiny sand or debris in the water lines. A fine screen filter helps but only minimally. Have flushed these in every which way trying to clean - not much luck. If any consolation, junk brass can bring up to $3.00 lb!!

Answer:	Neither, they are the same size that will fit any outside faucet or garden hose. According the American National Standards Institute, garden hose thread--GHT--has an outside diameter of 1.0625 inches with 11.5 threads per inch.
Question:	I live in an apartment and the pressure is often low when they're watering the lawns. What is minimum input pressure for 40 lb regulated output
Answer:	Regulating your water won't help. You'd have to take that up with management about the sprinklers. The issue may be that they're using 1" or larger pvc pipe for the sprinklers which means there's a pressure drop because there's not enough water flow to support it. they could contact the water company to adjust the pressure regulator for the main water line which should support the demand for the sprinklers.

Answer:	Yes, standard water hose. No, pressure cannot be adjusted. You can add a shutoff valve before the pressure valve if you want to adjust the volume flow.

Question:	Why does the gauge cause my water pump to struggle which then causes a power surge which momentarily shuts everything down
Answer:	I'm fairly sure that it would be fine as long as it was disconnected and shaken out by hand to get almost all of the water out of both ends of it before storing (I do this with mine each time we "break camp" and have noticed that I can get almost all of the water to drain/fall out). This would ensure that the very small amount of water remaining inside it will be able to evaporate in just a few days, so the internal pressure regulator wouldn't be damaged. And the gauge has what appears to be a light synthetic oil in it so there's no issue there.

Answer:	Mine came with oil in it so I would say it does.

Answer:	You are looking at the same gauge under two different circumstances. With the water turned off in your RV, the pressure reading is a static reading. This is the maximum amount of pressure in the system that is ready to be used. 55 is the dynamic pressure which is the amount of pressure while water is running. And if you opened up all the taps in the system, you would probably see it drop accordingly to the number of outlets being used. Most systems are rated statically. So you should adjust it for what your RV recommends or what you think is good. Bear in mind, that the actual incoming pressure may affect these readings. For example, if the incoming pressure to the regulator is 60 PSI, then you might easily over adjust the setting which could be problematic if you later connected to a service that provided 70 PSI. The easy way to check this is to connect this regulator to the service and connect the output side of the regulator to a valve only. No connection beyond the valve. Then with the service energized and a reading on the regulator, first crack the valve to purge any air. Then close the valve and adjust the regulator up until it no longer increases. Crack the outlet valve again to let water flow, noting the pressure dynamically. Close the valve. The reading then should be a static pressure of the service available. Then to get an accurate safe setting, slowly adjust the pressure downward, cracking the valve to relief pressure on and then off. Keep repeating until you get a stable, consistent setting. When you get to this point, then it should be the same even when you relocate to a different area and different service.

Answer:	Advertised design pressure is 50 - 55 lbs. Our city water pressure varies from 60-90 lbs. at the spigot, measured with RainBird Pressure Gauge. After Valterra Regulator installation, pressure stays steady at 53 lbs, measured at the spigot. Water sprinklers are more consistant, and a Valterra regulator mounted on the water-heater INLET protects my expensive water heater's glass tank from cracking. Cheap insurance !

Answer:	I THOUGHT the screen was stainless steel -- until it rusted out. This is NOT GOOD, as the rusted pieces found their way into the water-timer, causing a failure of the timer. Stainless-steel screens are available at Amazon, and most hardware stores.

Installation Guide:

1.Connect the female fitting on the adjustable water regulator directly to your water source's hose bib.

2.Connect the female fitting on the water hose to the male fitting on the adjustable water regulator.

3.Turn on the water supply in order to flush the water regulator and hose for one minute. Turn off the water supply.

4.Connect the hose to your RV's water inlet, then turn on the water supply.

5.Turn on all RV fixtures to allow any air to be flushed out of the RV plumbing - this includes turning on showers, faucets, and flushing toilets.

1. Connect water regulator's female ftting to your water source's hose bib.

2. Connect the water hose's female ftting to the water regulator's male ftting.

3. Turn on the water supply to flush the water regulator and hose for one minute, then turn off.

4. Connect the hose to your RV's water inlet, and then turn on the water supply again.

5. Turn on all RC fixtures flush out of the RV plumbing-this includes turning on showers, faucets and flushing toilets.

Answer:	Don't know Unit failed upon turning water on Would recommend you find another product This one was a complete waste of money I guess I got a pressure regulator out of the deal, it is working for now Don't have much faith in it either though

Answer:	If it was flat , it goes in the female end of either hose fitting. if it is a typical round o ring. consider it a gift.
Question:	Does this really remove calcium from hard water, like one reviewer noted
Answer:	I highly doubt it. This basically filters junk when you hook up at different places as you travel. If you are worried about calcium, install a filtration system! IMHO

To use our Inline Carbon Water Filter Kit, first, attach the water pressure regulator directly to faucet/water source; next, attach the flexible hose protector to the regulator; then, attach the water filter to the hose protector; finally, attach the hose to the water connection on your garden hose.
