Answer: | No, it has an assortment of knockouts all around it. You'll want to pick up a pack of the 3/8" nm cable clamps to keep the Romex secured to one of the knockouts. Obviously you'll want to pick up some Romex as well. If it's on a 15 amp circuit, use 14/2 (easier to work with), if it's a 20 amp circuit, you'll need to use 12/2. Just go to breaker, and figure out which circuit you're pulling from, and then you'll know which wire to pick up. This AC Dual Power Module with surge suppression provides power to voice, video, audio, and data distribution modules – routers, switches, modems, audio distribution modules, and security modules – mounted inside a Leviton Structured Media Center enclosure. Equipped with TVSS (Transient Voltage Surge Suppression) outlets, the AC Power Module provides protection from transient voltage surges, and is intended for use where sensitive equipment would benefit from protection against the damage caused by such surges. A green indicator light on the face of the unit, when continuously lit, indicates surge protection is in effect. When the indicator light is off, the receptacle is no longer providing suppression. When protection is lost, an audible alarm will beep continuously. This power supply easily drops into a cutout in the bottom of the Structured Media Center. Answer: | A battery is a collection of cells. If you are charging Lithium batteries, you should use a Load Balancer or a BMS made for the type of Lithium battery you have (i.e., Li-ion, Li-Po, etc..) This will balance the charge across all the cells in the battery. You should also use a charge controller -this is what prevents the battery from overcharging, and tapers the charge down as the voltage reaches the end stages of charging. This power supply should work IF the charge controller is set so that it will not draw more current (Amps) than this power supply can handle. Good BMS's and Charge controllers are programmable. BMS's and charge controllers can be built into the Lithium battery, but you need to make sure BEFORE using anything to charge up a battery of this type. NEVER over-charge a Lithium battery. Do your research, be safe. |
