2. Use the installation ALIGNMENT CRADLE ( 1 Per package, need only one cradle to install all your locks) to position the locks location

3. Peel off the adhesive film

4. Stick the striker plate to the frame

5. Stick the lock to the door or drawer (Test it for screws and nails before you stick the lock if it's effected by a nail or a screw inside the door)

6. Close the cabinet door or drawer and check for proper fit. Can be repositioned immediately

7. IMPORTANT: There must be 1/8 to 1/4 inches of space between the lock and striker plate when locked. If the door fits tightly, it can not unlock

Since the locks also contain a magnet, they can be affected by any nails or staples that may be present inside the cabinet doors. Before attaching the lock, you can move it around the inside of the door, leaving the lock in the locked position. If the attaching hook moves or drops into the lock body, it has detected a ferrous metal inside the cabinet door. Simply move the lock away until the locking hook is no longer affected.

LOCK WON'T UNLOCK

When attaching the flat striker plate to the cabinet or dresser frame, please leave enough space so that the door or drawer can open just slightly (1/8 –1/4 inch) when locked. This space allows the lock to clear the striker when being opened using the magnetic key. If the lock is in contact with the striker plate, it will just mesh even more tightly; as it is designed to do.

Some cabinets have a fingerprint-resistant surface that makes the tape harder to adhere to. A handy little clamp that you may use to hold the locks firmly to the cabinet doors while the 3M tape is curing. This procedure isn’t normally required, but helps to cabinet locks stay secured. Question:	Does the latch mark-up or dent the cabinet where the catch rubs
Answer:	Unless your cabinets are made of a super soft wood, I would highly doubt that they would leave any noticeably mark. The latches are made of a durable plastic that is held tight by a spring. If you are worried, the kit comes with plates that you can stick on the inside of the cabinet jam that not only gives the latch and added lip onto which it will catch better but also works as a skid plate for it to rub on when you are opening and closing the door. The plates are held on by double-sided tape just as the latches.

Question:	Would these work for dresser drawers
Answer:	Hello! Honestly it depends on the style of dresser drawer. It should work on any dresser drawer that has dividers between each 'shelf' of the dresser. I.e. if the drawers are removed from the dresser, if there are dividers still in the dresser, the locks could work.
Question:	Do these rotate? My house had some that rotate and they are easy to turn them so they dont luck the drawer anymore
Answer:	These don't rotate out of locking position by design, but yes you can. We have them on cabinets when the grandkids (who live in Germany) are here. Their visits are very seldom, obviously, so only once a year we need them. After you install by following the instructions, you can then remove the outboard screw (closest to door edge) of the latch and loosen the other. Then rotate the latch around the 2nd screw until the latch is 90 degrees from it's original position (hook now facing door side edge instead of top edge). Mark and drill a hole in the empty slot to hold the latch in this position. Install the screw. If you installed the latch the correct distance from the door edge per the instructions, it should not interfere with the frame or an adjacent cabinet door when you open/close the door. This solution keeps the latch from engaging, stores all the parts so you don't have to frantically search for them, and re-activation requires only removing the screw from the hole you just drilled, rotating the latch, reinstalling the screw and snugging both up. Easy peasy. (We did this with our own children some 30+ yrs ago, so I'm a bit surprised the manufacturer doesn't include similar instruction.)

Answer:	If I remember they were about 11/2 -2”. They are about 1” wide. Can’t give accurate measurements because I ordered these for my son who has two toddlers and he want to keep the out of the kitchen cabinets. I hope this answers your question. I have mine still on my cabinets and they have been there for over 42 years. Not just for my kids but now when grandkids visit

Answer:	I’m in the same boat! But I think the only way to disable any of these safety latches is to remove. You get used to it. And it’s good for surprise visits. Honestly I would leave them on.

Answer:	On cabinets where the bottom in close to the floor, it might be hard to activate the release. Also, a child is normally standing while trying to open the door, so they put most of their force at the top and the door and it may flex enough where they can slip their hand into the cabinet.

Answer:	Yes, there are holes available for screwing. However, they're not included with our product.

Question:	if i put two of these on one door, will that double the door catchers from 5 to 10lbs
Answer:	Yes, it will take about 10lbs of force to open if you use two of these. The forces must balance in equal and opposite directions. So 10lbs resistance can be overcome by 10lbs force pulling the door open. There are a few nuances depending on the location of the handle relative to the two latches, and dynamics as one latch lets go before another, but those are minor effects.
Question:	Are these the same as JR Products part number
Answer:	It isn’t the exact replacement but the worked for me. If you don’t know what to look for you won’t know the difference.
Question:	What are dimensions each individual piece
Answer:	If you look under "product description" you'll see a section called "Catch and Keeper Specifications" and there is a picture in there with accurate dimensions
Question:	My wife struggles pulling open our magnetic catches. Are these hard to pull
Answer:	You do have to pull with more than usual force as these latches prevent items inside a cabinet or closet from forcing the door open while underway. I don't think they are "hard" to open, just takes more pull than a cabinet that isn't in a camp trailer.
