Answer:	The solids chamber has a 6 gallon capacity, so you'll want to use a bag with a similar or slightly larger volume.
Question:	does this come with a floor flange seal in the box? Do I need to order rubber seal for floor flange separately
Answer:	Unfortunately, our business and toilets have not gone interplanetary (yet). We ship all Sun-Mar products from New York--they are generally very bulky and heavy, requiring specialty shipping services and therefore higher fees.
Question:	Is the bowl supposed to hold water
Answer:	This toilet has 2 chambers, and separates solid from liquid waste. A composting medium such as "compost magic" from sun-mar should be used to compost solid waste.
Question:	What is the distance in the base from the center of the flush hole to the back of the base
Answer:	We have been living tiny since 9/1. We emptied the solid waste on 9/19. Two people use this. It was a little heavy. DO SUGGEST emptying the liquid every few days - check it! I rinsed both containers with water after emptying, and sprayed lightly a disinfectant.

Question:	What is the height of the water supply line fitting from floor to bottom of fitting on toilet
Answer:	I bought 2 of these and both failed with in 2 weeks. The clear plastic body cracked and leaked. They also will not prevent hard water stains.
Question:	Will it replace the galaxy/starlite (model gh, gl, sh, sl)? does it come with a flat floor flange or does that have to be bought separately
Answer:	The fittings are not brass. it is some sort of aluminum alloy. You can remove the fittings and change them around as needed. It is glued in with red lock-tight. I used bursts of gentle heat from a propane torch until it came loose.
Question:	does it come with a wax ring
Answer:	The fittings on the hose should be the same.
Question:	does a gasket seal come with it
Answer:	Mine came with two filters and they're fairly robust so you can wash them.

Question:	Is there a way to take apart the bottom half in order to clean it? Waste builds up on any toilet and needs to be scrubbed, not just rinsed
Answer:	That’s an interesting idea. Understand that this attaches to the end of the faucet in place of the aerator. You should be able to get an adapter for that purpose. Keep in mind this is not a water purifier but a filter to remove minerals and add alkaline properties. In order to remove the harmful properties, be prepared to replace the filter cartridge more frequently. I hope this helps.
Question:	I love the toilet but I have noticed that pressure builds up in the tank and if a user opens the gate valve with the seat/lid up it is enough to cause them to get a faceful of poop spray. I did not have this problem with an earlier model Thetford and am puzzled as to what the cause might be. Permanent mount in sailboat

Question:	just install this toilet and the bowl fills all the way up without stopping ,is there any adjustment they needs to be done
Answer:	I carry the bottom waste tank to the campground toilet along with two gallon jugs of treated water. I dump the waste first. Then I pour in 1/3 to 1/2 a gallon of treated water. Swish around and drain into the camp toilet. Check to see how clean it is or if there's an area that needs extra effort. Usually not. And then use the gallon up in 1 to 2 more rinses and swishes and draining. I use the very same products that they recommend to keep a toilet like this to not smell and develop problems with the waste and helps to break up and sanitize the waste too. I find this has worked well with no ill effects to me or my portable loo itself. Now I hate this loo since it's battery power flusher arrived busted and I did not realize it was broken until the wires themselves also broke off since it just dangled under the screw cap. That is another issue and trying to find a replacement import to fix it or switch it to a manual loo. I recommend looking for a different model or buying the manual flush version not this one. The company does not support it in the USA only in Europe under a different name.
Question:	Under highlights this toilet says the sprayer is included. is this true
Answer:	Yes I noticed this also the reason is this toilet has bigger tanks then my older one and the larger the tank the more air pressure can build inside of it the easy fix for this is before you use the toilet wad a few squares of toilet paper and set it directly over the hole and then close the lid and open the slide on the toilet slowly and that will let the pressure out and You won’t get splash in the face then you’re good to go and you might want to do that every time if it’s going to be hot where you’re at or if you’ve changed altitude.

Answer:	Susan - the toilet separates with a latch into top and bottom halves. The bottom half iss the waste tank. When you separate the halves you will see a tube with a screw cap that swivels out to the side. This will serve as the spout to enable you to pour the waste into any flush toilet. By "cabin toilet", I assume you mean a normal toilet with plumbing. If so, yes. If you mean a compost toilet, then you can empty the waste into it, but keep in mind that it will be up to 5 gallons, which could overload a small compost toilet. It's not particularly nasty to empty, especially if you press the small relief valve button before opening the cap on the waste spout. This will prevent splashback. When you pour the waste out, just do it slowly and gently to prevent "glugging" and splash. After the waste is emptied, just run some water back onto the pour spout, replace the cap, and slosh around a bit to rinse clean. Then empty the rinse water into the toilet as well. Make sure to replace the deodorant liquid before storing to eliminate odor. Answer:	This is a REALLY sore subject with this model toilet. The battery-powered flushing mechanism is short-lived, where it will suddenly and inexplicably break. Added to this is that Thetford doesn't offer a reasonable replacement for the flush mechanism in the U.S., they want to charge almost as much as the entire toilet unit! So if your flush mechanism breaks (and it will), then A) you can't flush the toiler from the toilet's reservoir water anymore, and B) you can't buy a replacement pump for less than the cost of a whole toilet.In the 1-star review section of this product I found that this same toilet is sold under a different name in Europe, and that replacement parts are actually available for it, so I was able to completely get rid of the battery pump and replace it with a manual one:Piston pump: 92401111 (Signal white) 9240166 (Light ivory) 92401130 (Ruby red)Electric pump: 92402135 (Light grey granite) 9240207 (Traffic grey)Hope this helps someone.

Answer:	Living in the country with a barn too , I'd say thats a great idea. Wish I had a guest room in the barn. In a stall inside the barn is a perfect place for this port a potty so ladies dont hafta go outside in middle of nite or 1st thing in morn. If it works good inside my house will work gr8 in the barn.

Answer:	A composting toilets is $1000. This is $70. I lived in my Airstream and this was my toilet.( Only #1 went in the holding tank for #2 put a grocery sack over the bowl ) I used it probably 5 times a day. After three months the rubber gasket got worn out on the flusher. Rigged it for a month .the remaining 5 months I just used my shower head sprayer which was a foot away. I am now ordering #2. I can buy this 14 times for the cost of a composting toilet..that plus my #2 go in the trash every day usually within 10 minutes of the bootycakes arrival..they don't compost inside my tiny space

Answer:	Well this unit holds about 5 gallons of water, each flush is less then quater of gallon depending how many times you pump to dispose the waste. 1 to 3 flushes should do it. It has a decent pressure, not like a real toilet but enough to clean the bowl. I took it with me camping and I had three females ranging from 7 and 34 years, of age. Believe it or not I only had to dispose the waste every two to three days depending on use.

Answer:	Well, not just sure what you mean. You can hold the water valve open (that's the flush handle) and it will continue to run fresh rinse water through the same line until you release the water (flush) valve. Do you want a separate rinse water line? If so, you could improvise one by using a tee in the water line before it enters the toilet fixture and buy a water line and a dispenser (with a self contained shut off) handle and provide a place to hang it when not in use. I don't see this as a need (but I'm not walking in your shoes).

Answer:	No plastic seat was one of the main reasons I bought this model. Enamelled wood.

Answer:	The hand spray is an option. Having had this unit with the hand spray for 2 yrs. I would not have one without it!
Question:	Does this have a hand sprayer or can one be installed to the foot valve
Answer:	It has a two bolt base and will require a modification to fit a four. I was able to cut two slots across the center of the base to accomadate the Dometic 302321681 bolt pattern. The peddle and water inlet are on the left side, which can also be a problem but can be made to work. It's a great toilet, we are very happy with ours.
Question:	Is this for a 4 bolt flange
Answer:	It is for a boat or RV and fits the connection built into your RV. No seal is needed. It comes with everything you need. Just be sure you have the clearance you need from the wall behind your toilet. I think it is 10.5 inches but you should check the stats on that.

Answer:	This is a wipe dispenser, not a warmer. It doesn’t have the function to warm up wipes. Yes, I think you can store face wipes in it but personally I have only put baby wipes in it so far.
