Answer:	Yes. the Kirkland tissue width is 4" wide by 3.5 " long. Most tissue paper holders are 5" wide, I believe. Keep in mind the width of most tissue papers have shrunk to less than 4 inches wide. they used to be 4" x 4".

Answer:	I have been using my Vivohome 5.3 on 3 camping trips. The unit is a I expected. No oders when the lid is closed. I do both #1 & #2 no smells unless the flush handle is open. Cleaning is easy. The only issue I have with the unit is the seat is too small for male body parts, if you know what I mean. Sturdy and compact. Great unit for the price

Answer:	The hold-down brackets can't possibly get in the way of emptying the toilet. The bottom (poopy) half must just slide out or somehow un-attach from the floor bracket for easy disposal.

Answer:	out of the box and in my RV, it's 15"L X 13 1/2"out of the box and in my RV, it's 15"L X 13 1/2"W X 12"D. I'm very satisfied with it, except I worry some about the plastic locking system to connect the top to the bottom, but I've had it for 4-5 months and empty it every 1 1/2-2 days. I live full-time in it and it's so much easier to empty than a heavy porta cart that I was dragging to my daughter's sewer outlet all the time. Hope this has helped.

I lived in my Airstream and this was my toilet.( Only #1 went in the holding tank for #2 put a grocery sack over the bowl ) I used it probably 5 times a day. After three months the rubber gasket got worn out on the flusher. Rigged it for a month .the remaining 5 months I just used my shower head sprayer which was a foot away. I am now ordering #2. I can buy this 14 times for the cost of a composting toilet..that plus my #2 go in the trash every day usually within 10 minutes of the bootycakes arrival..they don't compost inside my tiny space

Answer:	Well this unit holds about 5 gallons of water, each flush is less then quater of gallon depending how many times you pump to dispose the waste. 1 to 3 flushes should do it. It has a decent pressure, not like a real toilet but enough to clean the bowl. I took it with me camping and I had three females ranging from 7 and 34 years, of age. Believe it or not I only had to dispose the waste every two to three days depending on use.

The Flush Tank

Answer:	No! Many port-a-potties are cleaned with a hose and suction method. A cardboard toilet paper roll can clog the vacuum, not to mention a large plastic bag, even if it is biodegradable. They usually clean the potties once a week, at least. The bag will not degrade that quickly. It's just not a nice thing to do to the potty cleaners.

Answer:	The advert does say they are compostable as per municipal regs of Australia, Europe, and US, although there is no listed ASTM or other certification number, and these are made of plant-based compounds, so the compostable claim seems to be credible.

Answer:	You're correct. It's 9 in. front to back and 8 1/4 in. wide. You made me curious, so I measured my bathroom toilet. It's considered a long bowl and measures 10 in. front to back and the same 8 1/4 in. wide. Thank you for helping me learn something new. If I'm ever confronted by a mugger who says "tell me how big your toilet is or I'll blow your head off" I now know the answer. You may have saved my life!
Question:	What happens after 50 flushes? Is there a battery and is it replaceable? Not enthusiastic about purchasing a new one every 50 flushes
Answer:	There are two halves, top half has a cap to fill clean water and a plunger to push the clean water into the tank. The bottom half is for the waste which needs to be empty. There is an indicator in the front to let you know when it's due. I empty it about 3/4 full. I made the mistake once when the level was all red, DON'T DO THAT! 3/4 is best. To break down the waste, I use Walex Bio-Pak (for breaking down waste) and Porta-Pak (deodorizer), one each. I put them after setting it up and after each cleaning. It almost completely turns it into liquid. Fresh scent porta-pak seems to smell better (blue package) than lavender (purple package), however bio-back (green package) IS DEFINITELY NEEDED to break down waste. After the bottom tank gets full, (more like 40 flushes than fifty) it needs to be emptied, rinsed out with clean water and set back up. After its set up put in one bio-pak and one porta-pak. You can order through Amazon for those. The water tank, upper portion holds about 2.5 gallons (about 9.5 liters), I don't pull the plunger all the way up, only about half way or as needed. This way it conserves on water. Hope this helps.

What I plan to do is first find a spot where there’s the least amount of clay That would be where I was dumping grass cuttings. It will have broke down so the first foot ( I hope) is pourous soil. Then I would dig a bit deeper and wider than recommended I will toss out the big clay clumps and replace with peat moss.

Answer:	I live in Ohio and I get to use the DD for about 10 months each year. When my yard is covered with snow, I do not add any waste. They say the waste does not break down in winter, which makes sense as it does not break down in the yard either. I have used a DD for over 20 years, I love it. During the winter, the few times I do pick up, I bag it and put it on the curb. You don't want to put that huge amount in the DD as it will clog it up. Then, after it stops snowing, I return to using it as normal. It works sort of like an outhouse, sort of like a composting pile. But keeps the poop out of sight and underground. Highly recommended!

Answer:	You don't. Just sit on it. It's sturdy enough and I am no lightweight. This one is taller than some which is good if you are tall or have trouble standing up.

Answer:	Detach the top part from the bottom by the side clamps. Pull the Orange tube out from the Bottom remove the white cap and poor waste into the proper waste tank. Rinse the Portable out and re-tach the top.

Answer:	You do not have to add chemicals to use this toilet, however, I would recommend getting a bag of Walex Porta-Paks and putting two in the lower tank before you leave with the toilet. I've had mine for over a year now and use it several times a month when I go on weekend trips to my cabin. Using the Porta-Paks keeps it smelling nice when you use it and when you clean it.
