Answer:	The dash backlight LED can be powered separate from the actual switched device, but the “ON” LED is powered only through the input that also feeds the device. If you need it isolated from that, use a relay.

The frame conducts the elect. between the black wire from the light bar to the neg term. on the battery completing the circuit. You could also just run the black wire from the light bar to the neg term on the battery. Same thing and just put the switch in either the pos wire or the neg wire. Cut the wire and hook up each end to the term on the switch. When the switch is off its like cutting the wire and the light goes off. When you turn it on its like twisting the wires back together completing the circuit and the light goes on

Answer:	I'm going to use one of the switches to turn a trolling motor on and off. However, the switch will not be carrying the load from the motor. The switch will be used to activate/deactivate a relay. The relay is what will carry the high amperage. Answer:	I've used one to toggle a computer power supply on that I used for my 3-d printer, there are guides you can google, but basically you just need to connect the green wire and a black wire from the big 24 wire cable that goes to the mother board. It that doesn't make sense, a bat handled switch is turned on and off with a round metal leaver. Move it one way for on the other for off. It is single pull single throw. That means that there are only 2 screws on the back of the switch. When the switch is off the screws are electrically disconnected from each other and no electricity can flow and when the switch is on, they are connected and electricity can flow between the screws and power whatever you need powered. These switches mount on any metal plate up to about 1/8 inch thick through a simple drilled hole. These switches also have a waterproof boot that that screws over the front of the switch and will protect the front of the switch from splashed water. This style of switch is popular with hobbyists because it can be mounted with a drill, screw driver and a pair of pliers. Good Luck

The pilot light takes its power from the upper left pin and the upper right pin is an unswitched ground for the pilot light and when grounded the pilot light is always on when power is available at the upper left (line in) pin. The lower right pin, if grounded, turns on the pilot light when the device is switched on. If neither right pin is grounded, the pilot light never comes on and the switch functions as a unlighted single pole switch. You would not connect both right pins to ground.
Question:	i need one of the switches to me a momentary switch for a horn and the other single pole for headlights. do they make this
Answer:	they are only a regular on/off rocker switch.
Question:	Are the lights on the switch always on? Seems like a waste of power when not in use
Answer:	there are four (4) standard size flat blade (male) connectors on the rear of the switch allowing on-off function with, or without, use of a LED pilot light on the front of the rocker switch. The LED can be used as a power on, or device on indicator, or omitted (not used AKA a simple on-off switch) . Looking at the switch with the two (2) blank positions oriented at the top, the pins on the LEFT side are for the power in/out, and the pins on the RIGHT side are grounds for the LED pilot light. In below instruction set, the UPPER LEFT pin is used as a line or power in, the LOWER LEFT is used as line out or power out to the accessory/device being controlled by the switch. 1) If you want to use the switch only as an on-off switch without the LED pilot light, only use the two LEFT- hand terminals 2) If you want the LED illuminate and function as a ""accessory power on"" (LED illuminated), ground the UPPER-RIGHT-side blade connector and the LED will come on only when the switch is closed (on) and the accessory is powered/on. Do NOT use the LOWER-RIGHT right terminal in this use. In any case, do not connect both RIGHT- hand terminals to ground, only connect one, or none. 3) If you want the LED illuminate and to function as a ""power available"" LED illuminated) regardless of switch position (on or off), ground the LOWER-RIGHT blade connector and the LED will come on whenever it has power supplied typically when the vehicle's power system is energized/power is available. When you close the switch (turn it on) the LED stays illuminated regardless of the switch position, as long as vehicle power is on /available. Do NOT use the UPPER-RIGHT right terminal in this use. In any case, do not connect both RIGHT hand terminals to ground, only connect one, or none.
