Answer: Yes, Im 5'2'' and I can wear my sons size 10 and it will last him at least 2 years of wear. They are meant to be baggy and loose so a size 4 will be fine for at least a year depending on his growth rate. If hes a big fan 1 size up with be great for longer use as the wrist and ankle fabric is fitted smaller to hold in place. Think of a fitted snuggie.
