CAUSES & CONSEQUENCES OF SHOCK FAILURE

| Answer: | 1100 Lbs sounds reasonable for a 1/2 ton pick-up. The springs can handle it because it’s rated as a 1/2 ton, but you make want to price some heavy duty shocks. I don’t think these are rated as “heavy duty” . It also depends how often you carry the max loads in your truck , you’ll wear them out faster if you haul the max every day. They are great shocks. I got them for better handling, after 75,000 mi the old ones were shot. I don’t often haul heavy loads , just a utility trailer full of leaves. |
