User questions & answers

Question: does this work on 89 lincoln continetal
Answer: In my experience with frustration free packaging options, it should cost less, not more to choose this option. The frustration free packaging is more brown box and reduced in bulk vs. the flashy or glossy retail packaging with foam, twist ties, etc. It normally saves manufacturers and resellers money to be able to provide frustration free packaging, weighs less, and takes up less space in shipping. I find it odd that they are charging more for this option, and I wouldn't pay more for saving the manufacturer and reseller packaging materials and shipping costs. I wonder if the extra cost is a mistake?
Question: Will i be able to air up the rear end wit a air tank
Answer: Yes it will, but be sure you're using pre-cooked patties. Frozen patties will thaw and heat in the sandwich maker as it makes the sandwich. But, I usually put the patties directly on my clean granite counter a few minutes before making my sandwiches because I like the sausage hotter. Granite has amazing properties and will help things thaw quickly. It dissipates the cold or something. Anyone remember the old "magic" thawing trays that were sold on TV some years ago? They were just small pieces of granite. You can also thaw patties overnight in the refrigerator or pop them into a microwave to thaw.
Question: Is this a kit for both sides
Answer: Yes. This cookbook has a detailed explanation of how to make ONE or TWO sandwiches, in case this is still unclear. 1. It's like an automatic coffee maker: you just put the ingredients in & 5 minutes later you have a perfect breakfast sandwich! 2. It's incredibly easy to clean up - just put the ring in the dishwasher and wipe the rest with a damp cloth. Easier than a frying pan. 3. Perfect when you don't have a stove: dorm room, RV, boat, traveling, etc. 4. When it's hot out & you don't want to fire up the stove, this makes a quick hot breakfast without heating up the kitchen. 5. It makes all kinds of sandwiches, not just breakfast sandwiches! We make lunch sandwiches, deserts, pancakes & eggs, the works. If you need examples of how versatile this is, check out this cookbook: https://www.amazon.com/Hamilton-Beach-Breakfast-Sandwich-Cookbook-ebook/dp/B01K0VOQBM/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1476917694&sr=1-1&keywords=hamilton+beach+breakfast+sandwich+maker+cookbook
Question: Does this work on 1997 cadillac deville
Answer: I prefer two eggs in my sandwich so what I do is put the top English muffin with one egg on one side then one egg and bottom English muffin on the other side. When it is done cooking, I open the side with the bottom muffin so the egg goes on, then slide it to the other side and put the egg and muffin on top. Has worked really well.

User questions & answers

Question: Do they come in pairs? Or do I need to purchase
Answer: Yes, they are air ride shocks. They are a perfect replacement for the original factory rear shocks on my 2002 Buick Lesabre. Took maybe 45 minutes to replace the pair. Even the factory air line fitting fit the shocks perfectly. Saved a fortune compared to the factory shocks.
Question: Does this item fits the buick lucerne cxs v
Answer: The only way push won't fit is if someone replaced the factory shocks and connectors. Ac Delco stopped making the shocks and sells rebranded Gabriel hijacker with the Ac Delco sticker. They call and sell them as Oem but they are not they have screw on connectors and in addition 25 vs 15 psi minimum pressure. They require and include a spring which will cause the factory system to do this.
Question: Will this strut work with the f55 magna sport suspention
Answer: Yes, it is a pair, and they are good shocks.
Question: Will this unit provide the same stiffness as the oem f41 firm ride struts that came on car? i do not want to go any softer. what about 182321's
Answer: These are rear shocks and are air adjustable.

MONROE QUICK-STRUT ASSEMBLY

The first and only Quick-Strut. Monroe Quick-Strut assemblies are unmatched in quality, durability and fit. They simplify the installation process, including everything needed for strut replacement in a single, fully assembled unit with no need for a spring compressor.

Quick-Strut units feature high-quality steel, application-specific coil springs to restore ride height and strut rods which surpass the OE flexibility standard, maintaining structural integrity in the event of a major road impact.

CAUSES & CONSEQUENCES OF STRUT FAILURE

Like many parts on your vehicle, struts are subject to wear. The rate of wear depends on a wide range of variables, such as road and environmental conditions, your driving style and vehicle load. Causes of worn struts include damaged bushings, exposure to the elements, loss of oil viscosity and gradual degradation of internal components over time. Driving with worn struts can result in problems ranging from reduced braking efficiency, cause premature tire wear, loss of stability and damage to other suspension parts.

IMPORTANCE OF AN ALIGNMENT

Always perform an alignment anytime replacement shocks, struts or other ride control parts are installed. Camber, toe and caster settings can all be affected by installing new struts. Failure to make sure the vehicle’s alignment is within factory specifications can lead to problems like premature tire wear.

IMPORTANCE OF MAINTAINING RIDE HEIGHT

Proper ride height is crucial to vehicle durability, performance and safety. When inspecting a vehicle, don’t just check the static ride height. The dynamic ride height – the ride height of a vehicle in motion – may tell a different story. The cause of dynamic ride height issues is often worn or damaged coil springs. Don’t just replace the strut – be sure to also inspect for and replace worn coil springs.

HOW TO PROPERLY INSTALL A STRUT ASSEMBLY

Avoid noise after installing a strut assembly with this four-step procedure.

  1. Loosely install 1 or 2 upper mounting nuts and position lower strut mount to steering knuckle assembly
  2. Install lower mounting bolts and lower vehicle to the ground
  3. Locate manufacturer torque specifications
  4. Torque lower bolts and secure upper mounting nuts in alternating pattern

User questions & answers

Question: This replaces the air ride system on rear? And us anything else needed
Answer: Hello, This part number is catalog listed as a single strut assembly. As a result, it will typically be sold as an individual unit unless otherwise listed by the retailer/seller.
Question: Do they come with all hardware and bolts
Answer: We exclude the magnetic ride control. If the vehicle is the standard suspension the 172321 is correct.
Question: This replaces the air ride system on rear? And us anything else needed
Answer: Yes and no, it will bolt right in but you will no longer have the adjustable suspension. It will be a normal soft ride. And it will throw a "service suspension" message. You can bypass that by wiring in a 906 light bulb (or anything that is about 1.5 ohms of resistance) into the connector that was connected to each strut. I would also recommend changing the rear shocks to the Monroe ma822 also with the same bulbs wired in as the front. That will give you the complete FE1 suspension so everything works together
Question: do the 990007 struts replace the old shocks only or the rear springs also
Answer: This will be a softer ride than the F41 sport suspension.

ACDelco 520-396 Advantage Gas Charged Rear Shock Absorber

ACDelco

Based on 298 reviews Check latest price

Product description

ACDelco Advantage Gas Charged Shocks are the economical, twin-tube option for your passenger car, van, SUV, or light duty truck. These gas charged shocks include super-finished chromed piston rods, oil seal with integrated dirt wiper, durable piston valve assembly, and a drawn over mandrel (DOM) pressure cylinder. ACDelco Advantage Gas Charged Shocks are tested to ensure vehicle fit and quality ride.

  • Super-finished chromed piston rod inhibits corrosion and provides a more consistent wear surface
  • Piston seal adjusts as it wears to maintain a tight seal between the piston and pressure tube. This minimizes leak paths for a longer, more consistent, product life.
  • O-ring provides constant pressure to the inner tube and makes the valve less susceptible to dirt, wear, and fatigue leading to longer service life
  • Drawn over mandrel (DOM) pressure cylinder for a smoother surface and less resistance, resulting in increased service life

User questions & answers

Question: Why cant texas redneck answer everything? His answers are the best
Answer: I find the shocks works well. Know that it would raise the rear end of the car but you will be used to it. For the noise that you said from the air pump, just disconnect the wiring. There is the lesabre owner manual online or you can look at Page 6.67 if you have a hard copy of it , which mention the Micro Relay #55 -- electronic level control -- The fuse box is under the rear seat/driver side. Relay 55 is on the second row from top and second column from left. If car is equipped with maxifuse #66 -- in same fuse box, third from top of first column on left, remove that fuse. If car runs normal after you remove the fuse you are good to go. If the noise came from the air shock itself obviously it will go away.
Question: What are the sizes compressed and extended
Answer: Have these on the rear of 2000 Buick. The original air system was shot. With four adults in the car, it is much better than it has been in years. As far as towing a trailer is concerned, it depends on the trailer! I used to have a small pop-up that you couldn't feel when driving, but if you are pulling an enclosed 2-axle U-haul loaded with appliances, well, that might be different. Trailers differ, so do drivers.
Question: Will this fit a 2005 chevy tahoe
Answer: Maybe Amazon used the wrong picture? The 90007 we put on our Buick Lucerne has that plastic dust cover on top like what use to be pictured. Great shocks, work very well. Fairly easy to install on our car.
Question: Is this just one or the set
Answer: I just tightened all the hardware with a short handled 3/8 ratchet until very snug. Since the hardware doesn't carry any real "load" but just holds the shock in place, I didn't even look for torque specs. I've had no problems since my installation several thousand miles and many months ago. Hope this helps.

User questions & answers

Question: Will this fit a 2016 polaris RZR 900s front
Answer: These fit the Lucerne FE1 & F41 suspensions somewhere into the 2009 year according to the VIN. For the CXS, I believe you have the Variable struts FE4/F55 option; much nicer & more expensive. Check your RPO codes under the spare tire cover to be sure. If so, you need the ACDelco 504-156 & 504-157; not sure if left & right matters; left is less expensive on Amazon right now.
Question: What years does this work for for a Ford
Answer: It fits my 2004 DHS. Not sure about DTS.

User questions & answers

Question: These fit a 2019 street glide
Answer: Not that bad. Just drive slowly. The problem is with incorrect camber. Take car to a trusted shop. I was taken by Pep Boys. They left the camber the way I brought in and adjusted only toe-in. Camber was overly positive and so I took it to another Pepboys shop with specific camber adjustments request. They pretended they did it, and so nothing was done, and the steering is off. Before installing the struts you should buy a camber gauge. It costs between $10 and $14. It has bubbles and markings to let you adjust camber to the old setting. It has a magnet to let you attach it to the brake disc. I didn’t know about it before changing the struts hence trouble with Pepboys. There are demonstrations on YouTube.
Question: What is the max diameter? Planning on using on my golf cart
Answer: This fits my 2001 Buick so i doubt it fits a Kia Forte. Good strut though when you find the one that fits. Type auto parts in the search bar and then select your make, model, and year vehicle to find what parts fit , make sure your verify the fit through the manufacturer before ordering though because Amazon it not always correct on what parts fit what vehicles. Hope that helps.
Question: Can you put air in these shocks individually to level a vehicle or do you have to inflate both shocks at the same time
Answer: Both
Question: Fit 2000 Chevy Silverado
Answer: I don't know about KYB, but these struts raised the front of my about 3 inches and is causing some safety issues. I won't buy these again.

User questions & answers

Question: Has anyone used these on a 68-72 Nova with a mono leaf spring rear
Answer: The 58604 was not designed to fit a Polaris RZR.
Question: Would these fit my 64 El Camino
Answer: 1996 ford f 150
Question: Do they fit a 94 Caprice
Answer: On my 94 F150 XLT 4x4 the rear had a small increase in height but the great part was when it was loaded the rear didn't sink like it did with the factory shocks. The rated load was much less than what the vehicle placard indicated before I installed these shocks and after I installed them the load increased, measured by how much above the leaf springs the bed was. What a difference....
Question: Will this work for a 72 skylark with 2" lowering springs
Answer: Yes, these would fit the rear of a 1996 F-150 4x4.

User questions & answers

Question: Is the price for a set or each shock
Answer: Provided your shocks are 13" between bolt centers. You will need the bush kit as well. For example they fit 2018 Road King which I think is the same frame as the street glide.
Question: Would this fit on a 2001 Cadillac deville and would I need to buy any adapter for it
Answer: The largest point on the body of the MA785 is 2.27 inches in diameter.
Question: Hose connection same as factory
Answer: Individually or together. Depends on how to get air to them. T line or individual.
Question: Are these exact replacements or does the air line need to be changed
Answer: They're originally a corvette shock, so they should. But anything will fit if you have some mechanical aptitude and fabrication skill.
