Answer:	This chanter has traditional unwaxed yellow bagpipe hemp where the 2 parts join together. It does not have o-rings.

Answer:	I'd strongly recommend a practice chanter. It's much easier to learn the finger movements and songs on the practice chanter then progress to the bagpipes.
