| Answer: | As a note, not all C5's have the same filter, or the same location . You will need a fuel line disconnect tool. I got mine at a local autoparts store for about $5. This tool is hinged and clamps around the fuel line and slips into into the connection to pry open the prongs holding the line to the filter. Early C5s have a very inexpensive filter that doesn't have a pressure regulator built into the them. In about 1999, they changed to a filter with a built in pressure regulator that is about 3 times more expensive. At some point in 2003, at least for my Z06, the filter started being placed in the fuel tank with the pump - hence you are not going to change that one.I suggest you look under your driver's side frame rail just in front of the left rear wheel and see if you can find your fuel filter. |
