User questions & answers
Question: | Does this fit a 2015 Buick Encore |
Answer: | I am using a canvas covered bag bale. These are field arrows so most any target is okay. Keep in mind they are fiberglass, so compression can be an issue. |
Question: | Does this come with cover and a gasket |
Answer: | These are not meant to be removed per se--they are not threaded inserts. I'm not sure what they use to affix the points, but several of mine did come off. This leads me to believe they used an inexpensive glue. However, I have not tried using a heat gun to soften the glue and remove them manually. However, I would recommend some arrow tip super glue to re-affix your points. |
Question: | Description says with seal. Received item with out seal. Can you send the seal separately |
Answer: | I would just use super glue, my tips came off also, some I couldn't get back. I like the length and thickness of the arrow, but I don't ike how easy the tips comes off. I don't think I will get this style arrows anymore. |
Question: | Oil cap that came with car doesn’t fit this cover. Why is this |
Answer: | Both sides could potentially be used as a desk. However the shelf on the right side faces out and you cannot use it from both sides |

Fix Your Check Engine Light & Restore Driveability
Camshaft actuators are an important part of your vehicles engine. When the factory actuators fail you may begin to experience decreased driveability, hestiation and fault codes which will cause a check engine light (CEL).
By replacing the faactory actuators you can restore driveability and get your check engine light to turn off. Common fault codes you may find when your factory actuators fail include: P0010, P0011, P0013, or P0014
Intake Camshaft Actuator
The intake camshaft actuator features a gray electrical plug and is located closer to the front of the vehicle on the top of the cylinder head. When your factory intake actuator begins to fail your car's computer may trigger fault codes P0010 or P011 resulting in a check engine light. This can lead to hestiation, decreased fuel economy and poor driveability.
Our intake camshaft actuator is a direct replacement for the factory actuator and installs in under 30 minutes. The intake actuator comes with a new bolt and a preinstalled oil seal to insure a leak-free installation. Simply remove the old actuator and install the new one in place.
Exhaust Camshaft Actuator
The exhaust camshaft actuator features a black electrical plug and is located closer to the rear of the vehicle on the top of the cylinder head. When your factory exhaust actuator begins to fail your car's computer may trigger fault codes P0013 or P0014 resulting in a check engine light. This can lead to hestiation, decreased fuel economy and poor driveability.
Our exhaust camshaft actuator is a direct replacement for the factory actuator and installs in under 30 minutes. The exhaust actuator comes with a new bolt and a preinstalled oil seal to insure a leak-free installation. Simply remove the old actuator and install the new one in place.
ASE Certified Technicians
Installing parts on you vehicle can be difficult and we understand. That's why we have certified technicians on staff to assist you with installation or even properly diagnosing your car. Our technicians will even provide the factory repair manual to make installation easier for you.
Strict Quality Control
All of our actuators undergo strict quality control not just before shipping but throughout the production process. During each step of production multiple quality control checks are performed to insure each and every part lasts for years to come.

User questions & answers
Question: | where is it made |
Answer: | No you don't. I personally prefer to use primer on cast iron engine blocks because I feel it allows the top coat / finish paint layer to look even in color. I also believe having the primer on the bare metal insures adhesion and allows you to use less top coat. Thinner paint will not crack and blister |
Question: | Did you sell a bolt kit to used for this |
Answer: | Yes, worked great!!! |
Question: | Can I lift engine and trans with this |
Answer: | It's a very durable filter for the price. I've had no issues since installing it in my truck. |
Question: | how many pounds is this rated for and what are the dimensions of the plate |
Answer: | This is a good filter. |
Product features
The LS Series Engines from GM have never been more popular, in both OE applications and in the robust engine swapping aftermarket. These engines were first produced over 20 years ago, and as such, there are many cores out there just waiting to be given new life.
How to Rebuild GM LS-Series Engines will provide step-by-step instructions on disassembly, diagnosis and inspection, cleaning, machining tips, pre-assembly fitting, final assembly and break-in/tuning. This book guides you through both the simple and more difficult procedures, showing you how to rebuild your engine and ensure it performs flawlessly for years to come.
LS Engine History
The original Gen III, the LS1. All subsequent small-blocks draw their roots from this engine. Though features like a cam-in-block, pushrod architecture, and the 4.4-inch bore spacing of the original Gen I were retained, virtually nothing else was. This means that as good as the older small-blocks were, this new engine design offered reliability and power potential above and beyond those previously possible. Recommended Tools
Torque angle gauge: Some of GM’s fastener tightening specifications used on the LS involve the torque-plus-angle method (for example, 15 ft-lbs plus 51 degrees—that’s not something you want to “eye up”!). Unless you’re using aftermarket fasteners exclusively, you will need a torque angle gauge.
Disassembly
Once unbolted, many Gen III/IV cylinder heads come off easily, but this could also be a slight challenge if the head gaskets have adhered to the block and head surfaces (particularly true of earlier-style, graphite-layered gaskets). Taps from different directions with a rubber hammer can help dislodge the heads. Another technique is to use a hammer shaft in an intake port; just pull it toward you and it should lift the head off. Label which head was which, and carefully set them aside on a soft surface (such as wood blocks) so as not to scratch or otherwise damage their deck surfaces.
Parts Inspection and Selection
Many crankshafts will exhibit little, if any, visible wear on the journals. However, wear can be significant on cranks with a lot of miles or from an engine with a poor maintenance record. This one is particularly bad off as it even has bearing material embedded in it. This crank could still be salvageable; even though GM does not recommend grinding its cranks, many engine machinists will tell you this is baloney. You’ll need to have a machine shop take a look at a crank like this to determine whether it’s toast.
The Machine Shop
The type of machine shop you’ll need to find is not the one turning brake drums at the back of your local auto parts store. An automotive engine machine shop is a highly specialized kind of establishment. Such a business has the trained expertise and precision equipment needed to refurbish the engine parts you may be reusing in your project, as well as perform any work that may be necessary on new parts you have purchased. A machine shop can also be a valuable resource for information, and will be happy to guide you through any step in a rebuild that you’re not sure of— whether it be assisting you in parts selection, or giving you advice on running clearances. Consider the machine shop your partner for your rebuild project!
Component Cleaning & Preparation
Don’t just install your engine components right out of the box! Whether you’re talking about new parts, or parts that have been refurbished by your machine shop, they are almost never intended to be installed right away. One dirty item can contaminate your entire engine!
Pre-Assembly
Install the #1 and #2 rods on the forwardmost crank journal, this time lubricating both the bearing surfaces and the journal. Tighten the rod bolts to spec, noting that there is no need to keep the rods from twisting on the journal this time around. Using a feeler gauge, measure the clearance between the connecting rods. Rod side clearance should be 0.0043 to 0.020 inches for stock steel or titanium rods.
Final Assembly
The most exciting time of the engine build is now upon you, as all of your shiny new or refurbished parts will come together to make what you’ve been dreaming of: a fresh LS engine! Don’t let the adrenaline get the better of you, though: follow the below steps carefully (and in order) to ensure you don’t make any mistakes.
Engine Reinstallation
Reinstallation of your engine will take some time and care, but one bit of good news is that it shouldn’t be nearly as messy as during removal, since you won’t be draining any fluids! In addition to the wiring harness, exhaust piping, cooling system hoses, fuel lines, emissions hoses, and all other engine-related systems, be sure to reconnect any brake, power steering, and A/C lines you may have disconnected during engine removal.
Product features
Engine Building Practices
Optimum ring seal and proper bearing clearances will count for naught if cleanliness during assembly is compromised. Here ARP head studs are being moly greased prior to dropping the head on.
Cylinder Blocks
If there is any doubt as to the thickness of the cylinder walls, a rough guide can be had by using a set of bow calipers to reach down into the water jacket as seen here. Next step is to measure across the adjusting screw and note the dimension.
Rotating Assemblies
Here is the Scat rotating assembly for a drag race 350 I built. As seen here this forged rotating assembly came balanced as a kit from Scat. In its track-ready form, the moderate budget engine these parts went into made just a couple of horsepower shy of 600.
Cylinder Heads
With early heads (pre-1973), this is the style of chamber that makes power. When milling these heads for compression, be sure to see that the groove (arrow) that circulates water around the plug boss is still deep enough to do so. If not, use a carbide cutter to deepen it.
Features 10 Hot Engine Builds
It seems that I am far from the only one on a quest for best power per dollar spent while retaining reliability. Shown here is an engine from Blueprint Engines that seeks to do the same. I had to build, in my shop/studio, a replica of one of their engines from a kit they sent me for a magazine article. The result, from their baseline engine for truck usage, was 453 horsepower and 495 lbs-ft from 383 inches.
Cams & Valvetrains
Adjustable Isky guide plates will allow the rollers on the rocker tips to be positioned centrally in the side-to-side mode. Another way to achieve alignment is to use self-aligning rockers such as these shown here. By trapping the end of the valvestem between the two hardened washers (arrowed) the rocker is constrained to follow the valve tip.
Induction Systems
The correct way to calibrate a Holley’s WOT mixture is via the power valve restriction channel. Usually they cannot be calibrated, but this performance Holley has jets to do just that. The main jets should be calibrated for best cruise mixture with the jets shown here sized for maximum power mixture.
Exhaust Systems
Here UNCC motorsports students Nate and Justin check the flow of a big Borla muffler. Their findings—big flow numbers!
Nitrous Oxide
A lot of experimenting with different nitrous kits was done on this 383 motor. The Nitrous Express kit shown here was their basic 50- to 200-hp plate system. During the test program a session was done with their Gemini Twin plate system and with 300-hp jets it delivered 330-hp increase. It pushed this motor to well over 800 hp. This system is one I give top marks.
