The Hyrbid Valve is capable of 3 different setups:

Precise Adjustment of the Splitter Hybrid Valve is done by turning the ratchet type cap adjustment knob located on the top of the valve. Turning the knob clockwise will stiffen the spring for higher levels of boost retention, while turning the knob counter-clockwise will loosen the spring tension for lower levels of boost retention.

The Blow-Off valve (BOV) is a pressure relief device on the intake tract to prevent the turbo?ø??s compressor from going into surge. When the throttle is closed rapidly, the airflow is quickly reduced, causing flow instability and pressure fluctuations. Surge can eventually lead to thrust bearing failure due to the high loads associated with it. Blow-Off valves use a combination of manifold pressure signal and spring force to detect when the throttle is closed. When the throttle is closed rapidly, the BOV vents boost in the intake tract to atmosphere to relieve the pressure, helping to eliminate surge.

Answer:	I bought one for a different type of application, but I can tell you that mine leaks like crazy when it’s closed. There is no seat for the piston to sit against when it’s closed. I wouldn’t install this on my WRX. Get one from one of the more well known companies (HKS/Cobb) and if you’re venting to atmosphere, get a tune for it so you aren’t running rich

Greddy has updated their popular blow off valve for late 2013 with a new Type FV series universal BOV. The GReddy BOV FV is a new generation of blow off valve. The unique "Floating Valve" design incorporates a revised adjustable dual spring system, while maintaining the advantages of the previous model's push valve structure and silicone diaphragm control. The improved design makes spring preload setting less dependent on the idle, while providing better response, increased valve travel, more air-flow and added resistance to premature valve lift under all conditions. Also maintained is a slimmer CNC outlet with discharge ports to draws surrounding air to amplify the blow-off sound, however this can be replaced with optional re-circulation adapters in various sizes. The BOV FV adopts the same mounting and outlet size and position as previous GReddy RZ and RS models, so retro-fitting onto existing applications is possible. How to know if your blow off valve is bad

The factory Polaris blow off valve is constructed of a plastic material that is barely good enough to get the job done. Problems arise when your blow off valve fails to open properly – from either sticking or cracking. When this happens your RZR will go into limp mode, lose power, or throw on a check engine light. Although a combination of other problems can cause these errors, a faulty blow off valve is the most common.
