User questions & answers
Question: | I know the length of the staple is 1/4" to 9/16". What are the allowed crown sizes? does this stapler takes only 3/8" crown or 1/4" crown as well |
Answer: | 100 psi |
Question: | stapler seems to work only when chamber has full row. Stops firing staple when chamber 1/2 full. Needs top up. Anyone else found this? Ready to return |
Answer: | Hello! It's Air operated with 1/4-Inch Series Plug. |
Question: | what is the maximum psi |
Answer: | The easy way to do it, if an adaptor cannot be found, is to use a short length of hose and make your own adaptor. You can get these barbed air hose fittings in both styles with threads or quick-change doohickies on the other. I look on ebay for small metric stuff like that because sellers in Asia will ship all over the world pretty inexpensively |
Question: | Air operated or electric? Picture shows air fitting but product description says corded/electric. Want air operated |
Answer: | This uses 22 gauge staples. They are needle thin. I would not consider them "heavy duty". You are probably trying to load 18 gauge staples - they will not work. |

User questions & answers
Question: | I am hanging new fiberglass screening on our back porch. Will this do the job for that type of work? What depth and crown would suffice for install |
Answer: | Toni, Let me begin by saying that I am far from an expert on the type of project you mentioned. I used my stapler for some batten boards and used 1 1/2" staples. I will say that the machine is extremely reliable, i.e., no misfires, jam-ups, etc. I would suggest that you might want to consider folding the edge of your screening and stapling through two (2) layers of material. I suggest this only because the width (crown) of the staple is only 7/16" wide, which could make it easy for the staple to pull through the screening. Sorry for the long response. Hope this helps. |
Question: | can this nail three quarter oak flooring |
Answer: | I would say yes. I've not nailed oak with my gun but have nailed 3/4"pine, 3/4" plywood, & other thick materials just fine with it. |
Question: | Can i use this to staple a carpet runner up my steps |
Answer: | The SX1838K is great for finish, trim, soffits, cabinetry, furniture, an any other stapling function you can dream up! |
Question: | Anyone experience any issues with trigger that leaks? First nail gun I purchased leaked after 10 staples and then will stop but then come back |
Answer: | I just bought this stapler and also had an air leak after the first few staples...On the second use it quit working altogether... I have several different Bostitch tools and this is the first time I ever had an issue. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this work to build a deck |
Answer: | Great question! This is actually a misprint that we've since fixed. The instructions should have read "freeze for at least six hours." Meaning, you can leave them in the freezer as long as you'd like! They're built to last a lifetime, so feel free to freeze 'em for six hours or sixty years. Hope that clears things up! Cheers, -Doug Frolk Customer Support Specialist |
Question: | What is the arrow on top for? the paper that comes with this gun isn't helpful at all |
Answer: | I purchased the WEN 61721 18-Gauge 3/8-Inch to 2-Inch Pneumatic Brad Nailer with 2000 Nails - it doesn't come with a case, but it came with several sizes of nails. |
Question: | Can you nail carpet down on a platform with this gun |
Answer: | I have never done upholstery work, this only shoots Brad's with basically no head. Imagine a finish nail. To my mind the head wouldn't be enough to hold the fabric. |
Question: | Where exactly do the staples go? Instructions are horrible, i put them where i thought they should go, and it just fires air |
Answer: | Worked fine until it broke in less than a year. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Made in USA |
Answer: | I use 90 to 100 psi to shoot 1 1/2" staples through 1/4" floor underlayment into 1 1/8" subfloor. Trial and error got me to that point. I maxed the depth setting with 80 psi and still had about 1/16" of the staples exposed. I cranked the regulator to 90 psi and 99% of the staples were flush with the surface. At 100 psi the staples are countersunk about 1/16". I know it's too late for a short answer, but it comes down to a bit of trial and error depending on your material hardness, thickness and whether you want the staples flush, countersunk or with a slight reveal. Good luck. |
Question: | I am looking to do some carpet on stairs and possibly some furniture related things. Would 1/4" be big enough? If not, can this take 3/8" staples |
Answer: | AIR........Not a cord except if the cord (hose) is attache to a compressor. Screw up by Amazon. |
Question: | I've just received this product. What connectors, valves, & pressure is recommended--I plan to use it to build beehive & furniture? Thank you |
Answer: | That’s all I have used in it. I haven’t used any staples longer than 1/2”, but very rarely does it shoot a blank, and even a high dollar gun can do that occasionally. Oil it regularly and staple on |
Question: | The product information states it's power source is corded-electric but the description says it's pneumatic. Which is it |
Answer: | The stapler itself doesn't have a depth adjustment setting. The only way adjust the depth is by adjusting the air pressure on your compressor. The tool is rated for 70-100psi. Anything higher than 100psi can damage the stapler or drive the staple too far into your project. |

Question: | Can someone recommend an air compressor to pair with this tool? Thank you |
Answer: | I purchased the California Air Tools CAT-6310 Ultra Quiet and Oil-Free 1.0 Hp 6.3-Gallon Steel Tank Air Compressor. I had to replace my previous air compressor and it was loud, like most air compressors. I saw a video on the California Air Tools and I was sold. My air compressor is so quiet, I can keep it in the room I am working in. Produces the air pressure I need do complete my jobs. |
Question: | Does it work with staples that the width less then 1/4-inch? like 5 mm width. (1/4-inch = 6.3 mm) or only exactly 1/4-inch width staples |
Answer: | As long as the nails fit in to the railing or nail housing, it should work. I have used it to nail half inch board and some 4 by 4 pices to a wood frame and it worked like a champ. Also, cut a dry wall and made a 2.5 ' by 1.5' door frame using this nail gun. I used 1 to 2" nails in my project. This is a very handy nail gun with excellent price. Even if did couple of projects with it, you got the money back. |
Question: | This doesn't come with any kind of case?? If not, how is one supposed to protect it? Thanks |
Answer: | No case included. I just keep it in the box. Good nail gun, though |
Question: | Does this work with 1-1/2-Inch by 18 Gauge 5/16-Inch Crown Staples |
Answer: | Nails ranging from 3/8” – 2” and Staples ranging from ½” to 1-5/8. |

Numax 18 Gauge 2-in-1 Brad Nailer & Stapler
If you've been using a hammer or a hand stapler, it's time to upgrade. This 2-in-1 tool is lightweight, but it's more than powerful enough to get the job done. Put your new tool to the test and get started installing trim, light wire fencing, base boards, picture frames, crates, window casings, cabinetry, and any other projects you can think of.
Step 1: Connect to Compressor
Set your compressor to 60 PSI and use your air hose's quick-connect fitting to connect your tool. If you need to, you can safely increase the pressure up to 110 PSI.
Put a few drops of oil into the fitting before connecting to a compressor to keep things running smoothly!
Step 2: Load Fasteners
Squeeze the latch at the back of the magazine and pull back.
Staples go on the middle bar of the magazine. Brad nails sit in the bottom groove on the left side.
Squeeze the back lever and push the magazine closed. Release the lever to secure your fasteners.
Step 3: Make Adjustments
Change the firing depth using the wheel on the right side - clockwise increases depth, counterclockwise decreases it. The fastener should sit flush to your finished surface.
The 360º air exhaust can be rotated to keep air from blowing in your face. Or, use it to blow debris away from your workspace!
Step 4: Test and Go!
Now is the time to fine-tune your PSI and to practice firing. If the nailer is leaving a large dent in your work surface, lower your PSI or adjust the driving depth.
Pro Tip: Use a piece of scrap material to test out your nailer before starting on the real thing!

Product description
Today, one of every three Asian, Domestic, and European vehicles on the road in North America includes Bosch braking components. That's because Bosch has been a key player in the braking industry since applying for its first brake system design patent in 1936. Bosch introduced Antilock Braking technology to market, as well as Electronic Stability Control systems. Now Bosch brings over 70 years of OE braking expertise to the aftermarket with Bosch QuietCast Premium Disc Brake Pads. The QuietCast Premium Disc Brake Pad program offers top quality, availability, competitive pricing, and full coverage for all makes and models of Domestic, Asian, and European automobiles, light trucks, and SUVs. Formulations include platform-specific Copper Free ceramic and semi-metallic that meets the 2025 Copper Free Legislation. With 'Science Behind the Silence', QuietCast raises aftermarket brake pad technology to a whole new level. Bosch QuietCast Premium Disc Brake Pads utilize innovative materials that ensure the highest level of quality. Bosch integrated their best OE-style rubber core multilayer him to ensure quiet operation. QuietCast delivers the quiet operation you expect with the durability and long life that are the hallmarks of all Bosch products. QuietCast comes complete with hardware (where available) and lubricant to do a complete brake job the first time, every time. Brake pad glazing is the crystallization of friction material resulting from the brake pad reaching temperatures above the specified heat range (overheating) or improper “bedding in” of the brake pads. Such crystallization can result in poor stopping performance, additional brake vibrations, or cracking in the brake pad material. Glazing is a misnomer and has not technically been observed since the elimination of asbestos. Many of the ingredients in the older asbestos linings would fuse during braking because of the intense heat generated at the interface of the drum lining and drum. The fusion of the materials would form an amorphous (i.e. glass-like) layer with poor stopping ability. Today’s highly engineered friction materials are designed to quickly form a smooth polished surface that coats both the disc and the pad surface with a microscopic layer of material known as the transfer layer (or third body layer.) This layer is essential to consistent friction level, long life, low dust and quiet performance.
- Bosch dedicated engineering to platform specific premium materials, ensuring exceptional stopping power and quiet operation with low dust
- Quiet operation with rubber core multilayer shim provides increased strength and insulation against noise
- Advanced aerospace alloy used in patented copper free ceramic and semi-metallic friction formula is compliant with 2025 Copper Free legislation
- Protective transfer layer extends pad and rotor life
- Slots and chamfers for premium quality, fit, and function; hardware kit (where available) and synthetic lubricant included to perform a complete brake job
User questions & answers
Question: | Do the pads come with the clips |
Answer: | Yes, they came with all new clips. The pads also came with the shims already attached to the back of the pads. I installed these on an 08 Civic. Hope this helps. |
Question: | Newbie question: Is 1 order sufficient for both front wheels |
Answer: | Yes, I order is for one axle aka all front or all back |
Question: | Is this front and rear set? will they fit Mazda |
Answer: | This set is only "Front Ceramic Pads", if you need the rear pads you need to order "Bosch BP1095 QuietCast Brake Pad Set" I installed both sets in a Mazda 3 sedan 2008 and fit perfectly, the amazon's fits tool says these brake pads fits the Mazda 3 2010, I'm not 100% sure about this but I have bought parts several times for this Mazda 3 relying solely on the amazon's fits tool, and all the times worked perfectly. |
Question: | How many pads come in this set |
Answer: | 2 set or 2 for each wheel. 4 pads total. |
