Question:	I bought this, installed it, and there's no backlighting like the factory light switch, is the something special to do to make this backlighting work
Answer:	....not particularly. It’s best to cut the rotten, rusty stuff away, sand, add rust remover / preventer, use a self-etching primer (2 coats), use a spray undercoating, trim the rocker panel (product sold above) to fit the hole and then install using your preferred method of either riveting or welding... slap some BONDO on there, sand and paint.

What's the Touch Switch Used for:

Most often the Stepless Dimming switch is used for lights (Such as critical lights, chassis lamp, dome light)



About Stepless Dimming type:

1.The light is off when connecting to electricity. Click it (time < 550ms) once to initiate it with the light on. Click it again to let it be off. Continue to cycle.

2.The initial brightness is 100% of the maximum brightness.

3.Touch and hold it (time > 550ms) to initiate stepless dimming control. The brightness increases when touching and holding, and stays at the level when stop holding. When holding more than 3 seconds, the brightness reaches and stays at maximum level. The brightness decreases when touching and holding again, and stays at the level when stop holding. When holding more than 3 seconds, the brightness reaches and stays at minimum level. Continue to cycle.

4.Click and Holding Touch can be used anytime. There is no interference between these two functions.

*The input power need to be constant-voltage source. A constant-current source (like LED driver, Output: DC12-24V 300ma) CANNOT fit the touch switch!

*The touch switch doesn't work with wet or damp fingers.

Answer:	This is not a momentary switch. It switches from one circuit (low beam) to another circuit (high beam). you need a momentary switch for a horn.

All you need is a second switch that is SPDT and you wire the 'pole' sourcing from your + and the two 'pole' locations feed one to the dimmers red and the other to the 3way sw 1/p terminal. Question:	Does this dimmer have an off position
Answer:	A) If you have an existing switch: The two wires on the old switch are not really positive and negative. One is +12 volt power from the battery, and the other is going to the light. If you look inside the wall, you will likely find that each of the two coloured wires is paired with a white wire and those two white wires are connected together. Those white wires are the negative, and the place to connect the negative (neutral) wire from the new dimmer switch. After disconnecting the old switch, use a volt meter or a test light to determine which of the coloured wires is live - that will be the one coming from the battery. Connect that to the +12 volt side of the new dimmer. Connect the other coloured wire to the load side of the dimmer. B) If there is no existing switch, just a light: Disconnect the positive wire from the light and connect it to the +12v wire of the dimmer. Connect the negative wire of the dimmer to the existing negative wires of the light. Connect the load wire of the dimmer to the open positive wire of the light.
