Answer:	This is a silicone based lube. It clearly states it on the bottle. Also it does not have any hint of foaming when sprayed which is also a good indication that it is a non-lithium based spray. But it is possible that the previous formula was lithium based.

Question:	how would this be to use on a whetstone meant for oil? to sharpen a straight razor
Answer:	In the past 3 in One was my preferred method for keeping my sharpening stone 'whet'. But for the past few years the 3 in One company must have changed their blend and for all the things I used to use it for... I no longer do. This stuff is 50+ cents an ounce, so I found a MUCH better product for only 14 cents per ounce AND you can buy it in different consistencies. I now use 100% Synthetic oil, any brand you like, Pennzoil, rotella, mobile, edge... A gallon is under $17 and the 5 quart is around $20. Use an old 3 in 1 can or find one of those old metal finger pump cans. Just break away 3 ounces from your 5 QT jug and put it in an old eye dropper and do your own tests. Squeaks, Rust, Slides, Hinges, Gears on your machines, Garden Saws, Shovels, Bicycles, Padlocks, etc. I hope someone can come back and advise about using Synthetic as Gun Oil.

Answer:	It smells like victory. Seriously, I've only ever had to use a drop or less at a time, so I never noticed any odor. Certainly it's not overpowering, if it has one, since it was thus far unnoticeable. I've never known our home to be without a can of this on the shelf, and it lasts for years. Along with a spray can of WD-40, they make a powerful combination of household lubrication.

Answer:	This will certainly work. It works for my 9X18 makarov. The secret is to avois surplus oil so aftre use wipe off. You wont have a problem

Answer:	This crc product goes on wet and dries to a non sticky film that does not attract or hold on to dirt or dust. I have switched a number of my lube application to this product.

Answer:	Yes, you can lube your seacock with this. The only thing I don't use it on is roller bearings. This stuff is so slick that it causes roller bearings to slide instead of roll and that creates flat spots. Then the roller bearings will never roll again. Still good on ball bearings though.

Answer:	I bought it for my 2015 car door hinges, it didn’t help. To be fair, neither did WD40.

Answer:	I'd imagine that putting a few drops of 3-In-One oil on the key first, then inserting it in the lock and working it back and forth - repeated several times - would have some degree of success ....I have always just used a graphite spray, through a narrow straw myself.
Question:	Is this light machine oil and if it is not, would it lubricate a shaver head
Answer:	I put one drop of 3-in-1 Oil on my Norelco head every 2-3 weeks, run it for a few seconds (down in the sink), then wipe off the excess with good ol' TP and run it for a few more seconds. Been doing that for years now.

Answer:	Use air tool oil in air tools. Not 3 n1 oil.

Answer:	I have used this on gate hinges. It is light enough that it won't likely gum up the ball bearings. Easy enough to change it out if you are not happy with it. Many other household uses (e.g., door hinges where you don't want oil dripping).
Question:	Is this good to lubricate a turntable platter bearing
Answer:	If the bearings are "open case" (not sealed up), you could get a bit in there and it would work fine at least for a while. I'd point you to using a skateboard bearing type oils, especially if it's sealed; it will get inside, easily. This Lucas grease has the same consistency as a toothpaste gel, but this is pure white. Also, oil used for clocks would be quite good. You don't want one that is heavy that could slow the speed of the turntable. A drop of 3-in-1 would be great. Stronger sweet petro smell but I do like it, myself. Another is Marvel Mystery Oil. That would be good, too.
