It is not designed to have a seal completely around it, so if you are looking to black out a room or better insulate it then you will probably have to add to the seal which would be easy with more hook and loop attachments.

Answer:	We purchase new velcro tabs before even putting the sunshield up. It comes with little black squares of velcro. I purchased 2 packages of white oval velcro pieces of walmart. We place two of the sunshields on the two doors of our travel trailer and have not had a problem. I wouldn't suggest using the velcro tabs that come with the sunshield because of the reviews and they seem too small. Hope this helps.
