Answer:	Most Fords have 65 group batteries in them some have 34 group all that don't matter what matters is what side the positive post is on. If the positive is on the right side then you will need a reverse post battery. I believe a 9020-164 has a reverse post. But for the battery box size these optimas are universal and will fit almost any battery box in the western hemisphere. So just take a peek at yours if the label is facing you and red on right then you have a reverse post, but if not then the standard 34/78 will fit perfectly. On the optima box it's self there is a packaging cover that comes will all optimas and. There is several adapters to make the 34/78 battery fit most cars and trucks.

Answer:	From what I have been told---the Red top has higher initial cranking power and the yellow top has better storage capabilities---I have them on my trailers.

Answer:	The Yellow Top might be better for your needs. Red Tops provide more cranking power. Yellow Tops provide more reserve if you listen to your stereo with the engine off. I had a Yellow Top in a car with an underdrive pulley on the alternator and a 1,200 watt system (RMS not that peak rating crap either) and that battery lasted through 5 years of torture.

Answer:	I would say these heavy duty cables, I used them on my 2010 R350 Mercedes Benz, it had been sitting out and had not been driven or cranked up in months. Not to mention my secondary jump point is in the front on the right hand side. The car was in my driveway, with a very narrow space to get access to. Nearly impossible to get to. Since I parked the opposite way not facing the other car. I had to get a longer heavy duty booster cable. These cables did the trick, jumped with a doner truck. I eventually had to purchase a new battery from the dealership, because this battery was old and had never been replaced. You can also check information about your specific car via your car's manual YT, dealership, or Google. Hope this helps.

Question:	i am looking to use in a race car with no charging system, we manually charge between races, would this be better than red top
Answer:	My short answer is Yes - the yellow should be better. Deep cycle type batteries do better than regular batteries. They can be run down and then charged back up without consequence, whereas the red is not a deep cycle, so it might not like it as much.Heres my long version. The yellow top has the properties of a deep cycle where it's the better type to use if you have an audio/video system that you sometimes run with the car turned off for a long period of time (and it gets charged back up later when running), so from that perspective, it sounds pretty similar to running it in a race car.But here's where I would be out of my element a bit. It seems to me that it would depend on the type of race and what the power requirements would be. If it was just a drag race where it's starting off charged, and then run for maybe 15 minutes while getting ready for an 11 second run, then I bet either would work well and the determining factor of the winning choice would be weught. And maybe even an entirely different and significantly smaller (lighter) battery altogether might be a better choice. But your question was about yellow or red. I think their weights are pretty similar, so I think you'd get the best performance from the yellow. I believe a deep cycle is made to be more durable and provide sustained power longer (that's the general purpose of a deep cycle from what I remember reading). And they don't have issues being run down and charged back up, so the yellow deep cycle should be better for the guy at a car audio video show, or a race car driver, or i bet even a person that just has a failing alternator, but a short drive to work and a garage and place to park and charge his battery each night.The yellow is a better battery, and I was very pleased with the price I paid for mine too through Amazon. Answer:	I have one in my Tahoe and if the voltage drops below 11.5 dcv it will not start. keep it at 12 to 14 Volts!!

Answer:	Amazon has sent me two emails saying that they do not honor the 36 month warranty. Mine failed after less than 2 years. Very disappointing for a $300 battery.
Question:	Is this battery good for operating temperature around -15 to 20 Degrees Fahrenheit , and whats the difference between blue , yellow and red tops
Answer:	Blue is for marine use. Yellow top is called a "deep cycle" battery and is for high demand use such as vehicles with high wattage sound systems or electrical systems that draw a lot of power like off-road lights, snow plows, etc. The red top is for most vehicles on the road and the one I've had the best luck with. The yellow top, if not cycled and/or charged properly runs a higher risk of shorting out, not common, but possible (I did it to one) but I've never had a problem with the red tops. As for the temperature range, it's not going to be much different than a standard batter. Their advantage is they use a a spiral "cell" as opposed to plates that standard batteries use. In theory, their life cycle should be longer as there is less of a chance for the batter to short out as plates are typically close together where in the Optima, the spiral is in a tube/cell of it's own. Use this when electrical loads are higher than average, or when the discharge cycle is more than typical engine starting, such as vehicles with multiple electronic accessories and vehicles without alternators. Examples also include: racing vehicles without a charging system, dedicated drag racers, diesel powered vehicles with aftermarket electronics, and vehicles with inverters, winches, or other accessories.

BlueTop

The BlueTop starting battery (dark gray case) is to be used when a dedicated starting battery is required and it should never be used for cycling duty. Use a BlueTop starting battery for marine applications and RVs when the battery's only function is engine starting.
