| Answer: | As soon as the coat flashes, i.e., the solvents in the black color have evaporated. You will see this when you apply the black base. Of course, factors such as temperature, application technique, etc. play into it. Say 15 minutes, or so. If you were painting a car, you could apply the second coat right after you lay the first on. Some will have other ideas but I think it is pretty forgiving, the paint process. So, paint it black. |
