Answer:	I have a 2009 Cobalt. I change my oil when the indicator comes up on the dash. Usually within the time frame of 5 -1 % of life left. My Cobalt has almost 200,000 miles on it. The computer actually knows when the oil needs changed. How? The computer calculates the length of time the car runs, temperatures the car is exposed and more. In effect, the computer knows when the oil is losing it's level of viscosity. Viscosity = Sticky. Oil needs to be sticky to cling to the internal parts of the engine. Again, oil must be sticky to be protect the engine. Trust me, the car's computer knows. The only way the car doesn't know is if you don't start it and or you don't drive it. In that case, you would need to change the oil far more often. The worst effect any engine deals with is not being run. Second worst is starting the car and not allowing the engine to reach normal operating temperatures. Start the car and drive it. Doing so causes the moisture in the oil to be burned off. Moisture in the crankcase causes internal rust. Internal rust can damage the crank bearings. I have 4 GM cars. They all have high mileage. Let the car tell you when to change the oil. As this Motorcraft oil is a synthetic blend oil, API Grade SN with a Viscosity Index of 5W-30, I do not see any reason to not use it with confidence. Anyway a fast check in your owner´s manual wil reassure my opinnion as a Mech Engineer with more than 40 years in the lubrication and fluid power area.

Answer:	T5 is the synthetic BLEND. T6 is fully synthetic. A small amount would be mixed if you were switching, or the new owner of a used vehicle and using a different oil. But yeah.... That's probably what a blend is I'm guessing.
