Answer:	I assume you have a 2 cycle trimmer. Read the manual on the correct oil/gas mixture. Most American built trimmers use a 40:1 or 50:1 mixture. 40:1 is 2.6 oz. per gallon. A little less oil if 50:1. Chinese 2 cycle motors still use 25:1 or 20:1 oil mixture. Use 5.1 oz. of oil per gallon of gas for 25:1 or a little more if 20:1 mixture.

Answer:	I have a 2009 Cobalt. I change my oil when the indicator comes up on the dash. Usually within the time frame of 5 -1 % of life left. My Cobalt has almost 200,000 miles on it. The computer actually knows when the oil needs changed. How? The computer calculates the length of time the car runs, temperatures the car is exposed and more. In effect, the computer knows when the oil is losing it's level of viscosity. Viscosity = Sticky. Oil needs to be sticky to cling to the internal parts of the engine. Again, oil must be sticky to be protect the engine. Trust me, the car's computer knows. The only way the car doesn't know is if you don't start it and or you don't drive it. In that case, you would need to change the oil far more often. The worst effect any engine deals with is not being run. Second worst is starting the car and not allowing the engine to reach normal operating temperatures. Start the car and drive it. Doing so causes the moisture in the oil to be burned off. Moisture in the crankcase causes internal rust. Internal rust can damage the crank bearings. I have 4 GM cars. They all have high mileage. Let the car tell you when to change the oil. Btw, I use this oil in all my cars. It's among the best.

I could not remove it on a family member's 2014 Malibu using my hands, and my existing wrench didn't fit over the filter. I ended up piercing it will a large screwdriver and using that for leverage. Not ideal. Buying a wrench as discussed in another Q&A.

Answer:	3.6 VVT GM engines. GM engineering recommends this re designed PF63”e” filter for their 3.6 because it has a higher flow rate and higher pressure by pass valve. Aftermarket filters don’t have the same spec. Sad because you’re limited to the AC Delco filter for this engine. I’m a Wix or Hastings guy. Those are excellent filters for just about everything else on wheels. The 3.6 VVT is an excellent engine, but it is oil flow and lubrication sensitive. Cam chains can be prone to failure due to lubrication issues. So Do not wait for the oil reminder light to come on. It’s wait between oil changes intervals is to long. The OLM minder light intervals are nothing but a dangerous sludge maker. The GM 3.6 is a 3k (5k with synthetic oil) changer! It is very important to use a Dexos certified oil and a PF63 “e”. There is also a PF 63, do not use. The PF 63 e is a redesign to remedy flow problems. Both filters will fit, but the “e” is totally different inside. It has a streamlined plastic cage to retain the filter media and a redesigned bypass valve. The other is and older style metal retainer and thick paper media with less flow

Answer:	The older PF63 has a by-pass pressure of 12 PSI. The newer ecore PF63E has a bypass pressure of 22 PSI. If your application calls for the 63E and runs at a higher oil pressure, it's possible the classic 63 might run with the bypass open, allowing unfiltered oil through.

Answer:	It is not on VAG listing as approved and Valvoline does not list the specification as other manufacturers such as Castro, however it is what I use in my 2.0T VW Passat. Valvoline 300,000 mile Guarantee should apply if your engine is not high mileage. I went with Valvoline since they offer the guarantee on any lubricated part failure.

Answer:	Unfortunately, this product is not recommend for your Prius. We recommend using the Valvoline 5W-30 SynPower Full Synthetic Motor Oil - 1qt (Case of 6) (VV955-6PK), and the engine capacity is 3.9 quarts. For the drain interval, Valvoline always recommends following the manufacturer specified drain interval regardless of grade. It is recommended by Toyota to change the oil every 6 months or 5,000 miles for this vehicle.

Answer:	The box actually says 15,000 miles or 20,000 kilometers. I use Mobil 1 Extended Performance motor oil which is good for 15,000 miles. I change both at the same time. Been doing it for years and have never had any problems.

Answer:	I have been using full synthetic oil in my 98 Silverado 5.7. I now have 364k miles with no engine issues at all. I'd recommend it for anything that takes 5w30

Answer:	SAE refers to the grading system. There are actually thicker Euro 5w-30 oils, but this is a thin 5w-30 for American and Asian cars. This particular blend is the latest additive formulation for GDI / turbo engines, it should be one of the best products on the market.
Question:	is current product dexos 1 approved. I see it on the quart, but not on the 5 quart and wondering if it is an old picture
Answer:	"Approved - GMdexos1™ supersedes GM-LL-A-025, GM6094M and GM4718M" This is indicated on the 5W-30 Castrol Edge High Mileage data sheet, dated 09Nov15. On their latest data sheet dated 20Sep17, this approved statement is no longer indicated. 1 quart size or 5 quart size makes no difference. If the product was made after 20Sep17 then it is not likely to be approved for engines requiring dexos1. I would safely assume the bottle labeling will reflect whether or not using this as a suitable substitute over dexos1 type oil is acceptable. The picture is old and will, or should, be changed so their is no confusion.

Answer:	Castol says it meets the spec, and Ford SVT has approved Castrol 5W50 for use in the GT500. I use this oil in my 2013 GT500.
