However, it is highly recommended to use at least a DOT 4. It has a 30 to 50 degree higher boiling point. Toyota's breaking system is very efficient, and may not ever reach those high temperatures, unless you're in a prolonged, heavy breaking situation, like riding the break down a long, steep grade. Then you'll wish you went with higher grade fluid. It just depends on how lucky you're feeling.
