Answer: | Of course you can, if you have no other choice. It will not cause any catastrophe failure or internal damage, under standard everyday breaking. However, it is highly recommended to use at least a DOT 4. It has a 30 to 50 degree higher boiling point. Toyota's breaking system is very efficient, and may not ever reach those high temperatures, unless you're in a prolonged, heavy breaking situation, like riding the break down a long, steep grade. Then you'll wish you went with higher grade fluid. It just depends on how lucky you're feeling. |

And it also has a much higher dry and wet boiling point than your standard OEM DOT 4's. This stuff is meant for racing. I get a lot less brake fade with this fluid. |
