For safety's sake, use a silicone grease (Ford's is $13.44 on Amazon) or another silicone brake caliper pin grease. The permatex grease is petroleum based and may swell and damage your seals. Oil resistant seals (like Buna N) would hold up to the grease, but Ford may not have used that rubber.

Specially formulated to withstand the harsh gear oil environment found in differentials and transfer cases. Because gear oil has friction modifiers that break down normal RTV and cause leaking. As a gasket maker, it seeks and seals leak paths that cut gaskets cannot. It can also be used to seal cut gaskets.

DIRECTIONS:

1. For best results, clean and dry all surfaces with a residue-free solvent, such as Permatex Brake & Parts Cleaner.
2. Cut nozzle to desired bead size, gaskets are best formed using a 1/16" to 1/4" (2 to 6 mm) bead.
3. Apply a continuous and even bead of silicone to one surface; surround all bolt holes. Assemble parts immediately. Finger tighten bolts until material begins to squeeze out around flange. Allow to dry for one hour then retighten 1/4 to 1/2 turn.
4. Silicone dries in 1 hour, and fully cures in 24 hours. Allow more time in cold or very dry conditions.
5. Replace cap after use.

Question:	Don’t laugh. I just want to know if I can use this on my water spigot. Just had to use the jaws of life to remove a hose that had corroded
Answer:	I use this stuff on all of the lug bolts for all of my cars. Works good. They will never bind up on you. This stuff is made partially out of aluminum anyways, so it won't stick and its always slippery. Been using it for at least 15 years and love it. I put it on ALL bolts and nuts, steel, stainless, aluminum, etc.
Question:	How about for squeaky rollers on a dryer
Answer:	if you look it up on you tube everyone says use less torque to tighten bolts since there is less friction and it lowers force necessary to remove bolts
Question:	Is it advisable to use on external tire pressure sensor made of brass to be installed on stainless steel or aluminum valve stem
Answer:	Yes, this is an option to apply to the brake pad backing to keep from galling to the piston cylinder, also retainers and contact areas where the pad slides in the caliper. Silicone grease is not a good option because it does not tolerate (and burns) >450F. High performance driving will push the brake pads past 800F.
Question:	Is this "aluminum" anti-seize designed for use only on aluminum, or is it used for all metals? manufacturer doesn't specify
Answer:	It has a very strong lavender scent. If you do not like lavender you will not like this.
