Simply spray WD40 on the problem area, let it sit for a few hours then take a razor blade and scrape off. You might want to test it out on an inconspicuous area to make sure it won't harm the car's paint.

Answer:	It all depends where you use it. This product can last a long time. Longer than most products against rust. It doesn’t wash off like wool wax. There’s some videos on YouTube and this product was compared to other products and this one came on top.

Answer:	No this stuff dries to a pretty tough resistant film, it does not lubricate. If you already did this good luck getting it off, maybe brakecleen would do it, you will need something besides soap and water. CRC is great for undercoating stuff and preventing rust in high corrosion environments like the bottom of your car. Do not use it for hinges. I personally use a white lithium grease in a spray can by WD40 on my garage doors. Not real WD40 which is a penetrating spray, white lithium grease made by the same company. The downside is that most oils/ greases attract and hold dirt so in a few years it'll be pretty scuzzy. The best solution for something like garage doors or squeeky hinges is a dry graphite lubricant like this https://www.amazon.com/Blaster-8-GS-Industrial-Graphite-Lubricant/dp/B0094IZ3BA that should also fall into the manufacturer specs for you garage doors.

Then, I applied the rust converter. After it had dried for a couple of days, I sanded again lightly and applied body filler to the dents. Then, I primed and painted. It has been 6 months of hard use since I refinished the bed, and the filler and paint are sticking just fine. No sign of rust, either.

Your thinking of using it on Chrome Wheels is ideal unless they are in use on the car, because they will look dull and waxy to the eye. Storage only!
