Answer:	I don't know if it will "refresh" gasoline that old. It should reduce some of the "gummy" deposits that form in older gas. I once used this successfully to unclog the fuel jets on an outboard motor by simply pouring a fairly high concentration of it into the fuel tank and letting it sit a few days. However, three years is a long time for gas to sit if it wasn't already mixed with a good fuel stabilizer all that time. If you mix this stuff with fresh gas, I would definitely feel comfortable using that gas 1 to 2 years later (and have done so in my lawn mower), expecting good results.

And I have used it in all of mine, including my emergency power generator, which gets run only once or twice a year. It has always performed perfectly for me. Of course whenever possible, the very best fuel for small engines, -especially 2 stroke, is "fresh, high octane, with no alcohol." But my emergency power generator sits for many months at a time between uses, so I keep the tank full of no-alcohol premium fuel, treated with Lucas. Hope this helps you.

Answer:	This has a proprietary formulation "MG" for preventing water accumulating in the gasoline tank. Water is heavier than gasoline so when condensation forms inside the top part of a tank especially in humid weather...the water flows down to the bottom of the tank. Ethanol is a bad idea for creating fuel from corn just to please the ignorant representatives in Congress....consequently we are the victims of their greed and stupidity as we pay high prices for unnecessary engine repair. So what needs to be done to prevent ethanol-water from destroying perfectly good running engines is a chemical make the water mix with the gasoline in a extremely-diluted mix so when the fuel is burned/ignited the water molecules blast through the combustion also then out the exhaust. I do not know of any "+" with the MG formula which is an excellent product.

Answer:	I think the others are talking about the shelf life of treated fuel and not Sta-Bil itself. I've used Sta-Bil more than 15 years after first use from a container of it, and it still worked great. It has a very long shelf life after opening. The plastic container that the Sta-Bil comes in probably has a shorter life than the contents. I have never used Sta-Bil Marine, so I can't comment on it.
