Answer:	You can either utilize the remote to turn the whips on/off or even better, add a switch in-line to the power wire to turn the whip on and off. The whip does have memory recall function, meaning it will resume the last known color/mode every time you power it back on. If you will be leaving the whip in a particular color/mode, can just use the hardwired switch to turn it on and off, and only use the remote when you want to change the color or modes. Hope this helps.
