Answer:	To me, ordering a size smaller seems like good advice. I wear a medium, ordered a medium, and find it a bit too roomy for a base layer. For reference, I am 5' 8" and 175 lbs.

Answer:	I live in Boston, I work outside . and I usually wear a long sleeve besides the Coldpruf and my winter jacket. I have another polypropylene undershirt thicker than this coldpruf, and it's way better, the Coolpruf is really a very thin shirt, to be honest I am not satisfied with it. About how many layers, it all depends how good you are to take cold weather, at work I see people wearing more layers than I do. Maybe the Coldpruf, plus another long sleeve, a windbreaker and your winter jacket, A scarf helps too. Hope it helps
