Answer:	I purchased 2 kits and had enough materials to easily do all 3 vehicles; probably could have done a 4th.It has been about 18 months since I did the first, and it still looks great.The final step, the Clear Coat, will harden in the opened bottle over time.I suggest using up the entire kit within 2-4 months.
Question:	Should you apply this product indoors or in the shade
Answer:	It says to either apply in the shade or in an enclosed area. I applied it outside on an over cast day. An hour after I applied it the Sun came out. Two hours after that it rained. The application survived and I haven't had any problems even though my conditions were not advisable.
Question:	How long do the results last
Answer:	While this kit did an excellent job of restoring my headlights, it took me about an hour to do each side as I tend to be very meticulous when maintaining my vehicle. I took extra care to ensure the product was applied as designed and that application process achieved excellent results. However, my lenses started losing the clear coat finish after about 12 months. My vehicle is garaged kept 7x24 (with climate control) and only driven about 6,000 miles per year.

Step 1 - Apply Surface Activator

Wash the headlight lenses and then spray Surface Activator--a proprietary surface corrosion softener only from Sylvania, generously onto each headlight lens until they are completely covered. Let this liquid sit on each lens for about 30 seconds. Immediately, you’ll see the yellow gunk start to break down. Wash completely with water to remove loosened corrosion.

Step 2 - Sand And Polish

Use the wet sanding technique described in your instruction sheet, using the 400, 1000 and 2000 grits and paper included in the box. This will remove corrosion. Apply the clarifying compound using even circular motions. Rinse and dry. Reapply the Surface Activator for 30 seconds and rinse with water. You’ll be amazed at how clear the lenses will already be.

Step 3 - UVB Clear Coat Application

Insure all moisture is removed from on and around the headlight lens. You’ll then apply the UV Block Clear Coat. It’s simple. Just apply as instructed in smooth, even applications. This UV Block Clear coat is a specially formulated polymer coating with active and passive UV blockers. This is the component that gives you long-lasting results.

Before and After Results

The left side of the headlight lens is hazy and sun damaged, inhibiting your headlight from functioning properly. Answer:	Additional disks are available at their eStore for $2.99 for a complete set. I’m probably going to order a couple sets, myself.

Answer:	About 45 days on my honda. I drive about 100 miles each day, and it stands up pretty well through all the highway miles. To re-apply the polish and re-seal takes about 15 mins, and their luster came right back!
Question:	how many uses can i get out of this kit
Answer:	I found that the 1st two sanding discs loaded up quickly with the plastic and actually marked the lens . I tried an alternate approach for the first 2 discs and used toothpaste generously and a 1 1/2 inch rotary brush on my drill. Toothpaste is a mild abrasive compound . This worked fantastic and I finished up with the 3000 grit disc and the wax. There was no wear on the 3000 grit disc so you could do many many lights using this method. Just have to buy the rotary brush . I had one from a previous Amazon purchase.

Question:	Is there enough to do more than one vehicle
Answer:	No, the contents in the Headlight Restoration Kit are for one vehicle (two headlights).
Question:	I messed up on one headlight on the 3rd stage. Do I have to start the process all over on that headlight
Answer:	I did the same this. The clear coat pad is to be applied quickly and efficiently with one stroke continuing until you have applied on entire headlight once. So to answer your question you will only need to sand down the clear coat and reapply. If you contact the company they may help you out with sale of another stage 3 application. They are a very good company. If not it wouldn’t be bad to purchase another kit. It’s definitely worth it.

Answer:	Yes, works well but you must clean up any residue in cracks.
Question:	what is the difference between the rubbing compound and polishing compound
Answer:	Not necessarily. I had a hard time buffing this wax by hand because i had put it on too thick (being inexperienced). Once I was more accustomed to putting on wax thinly, even traditional cream-in-a-tub wax like the Collinite 915 I am currently using was pretty easy on the arms. How thin? Thin enough so that the wax just appears as an oily sheen on the paint surface. Waiting time also matters. Wait just enough till the wax visibly starts to haze all over the waxed section, but not any longer or the wax will get too hard. You'd want to wax and buff a, say, 2x2 or 3x3 ft section at a time to be better able to react to the hazing/drying time of the wax.

Question:	Will it take paint off if I happen to touch it
Answer:	I wouldn't try it. I recommend being careful. Put painters tape around the paint on the car if you are worried about it. I got some on mine but I wiped it off right away and hasn't taken the paint off. Always use protection
Question:	Will this work on pitted, old headlights as well
Answer:	The wet sanding required with the course side and smooth side of the sanding block, which is supplied with the kit, should be followed per the directions supplied with the kit. I sanded my cars lenses in the drive way with a water hose and the sanding block. After sanding, the lenses looked even worse. However, after throughly drying and applying the application packet, they look great. They don't look brand new. But, they do look much better. Be quick with the application packet. It appears to dry quickly. It smells. But, I will use this again if I have a car where the headlight lenses are scratched. The kit cannot replace pieces of glass that are missing. But, it does smoth the plastic out after sanding and applying the chemical wipe. I hope this helps.
Question:	Is this for a single headlight or will it work for both. As in does this item wear out after the first headlight forcing you to have a second one
Answer:	Great question... If you plan ahead, you can do both headlights before the chemical evaporates. Make sure you don't open the sealed bag until you've scrubbed both headlights.

Answer:	Small scratches only. Worked well on my golf cart windshield
Question:	I know this sound weird but some people say this works out scratches in their iPhones
Answer:	This stuff is basically petroleum based solvent (plastic solvent) and aluminum oxide powder (stuff they make sandpaper out of). So really only the powder is getting the scratch out. Look for a glass polishing agent if you try that.
Question:	Will this product work on instrument cluster plastic that has yellowed and fogged due, perhaps, to a previous owner using Armor All
Answer:	Sometimes, depending on the make and material, when products are applied to surfaces like an instrument cluster visor or a clock visor, the product will bleed through. I has seen this in the past. For example, my friend once over sprayed black magic onto the radio and it bled through the visor. It would not come out unless replaced. Try on a small area or used visor first.
Question:	Will this work on plastic instrument cluster
Answer:	I have only tried it on headlights for numerous vehicles and it works great. Turned yellowed Honda headlights clear again. I would imagine it should but would try it on a small spot first.

Tips for working with PlastX Clear Plastic Cleaner & Polish

• For best results, always work on a cool, clean and dry surface.
• Shake product well.
• Work a section at a time. If working on headlights, work one headlight at a time.
