Answer:	Yes you’ll need that as well, frustratingly the box never stated that important piece of information. Luckily the installer had them in stock, which was another $50.
Question:	Would this work as is on a 2015 subaru forester xt? Do i absolutely need the blade-al
Answer:	This is a universal kit, however, the programming will require the blade-al for 99% of it's applications. You will also need the USB cable ($30) on Amazon to transfer the program file from the website.
