Answer:	Yes it worked with a plastic bedliner and tonneau cover. I cut a piece out of the liner where the hinge bracket bolted up, at the gate, but put screws right through it at the other end. Works great. Plastic, but pretty solid.

Answer:	It is just over 62 linear inches, not feet. The base is slightly more narrow than the top. The longest measurement puts it over but it really is not if measuring actual size with the smaller base than top. I have used them at least a half dozen times on flights and have never had the airline question the size.

Answer:	One of mine has, it rides on the back rack of my Yamaha 400 big bear. I have several of these sportsman totes and they still surprise me as to how tough they are. They will probably break, but if tied down solid where they can't bounce around, they will do a good job.

Answer:	I think it would work just fine for inhouse storage. It is not air tight, but should work fine, you need the key to open it each time you click the latch shut. I use it on the back of my atv to move small items that would otherwise get scattered while trying to move to another location.
