The cable will attach to the controller, and connect it to a trailer brake port usually found under the dash of your rig. I had to hard wire my own plug that came with the kit. One wire I did not have to use. Out of the five wires I only had to use 4 of them. The lady email me instruction for my 2008 Chevy 1500. She is very helpful. I tow a toy hauler with two motorcycle. Three setting plus to go to manual setting which I like. Plus there is a button on the right that I use like a trolly brake. (Use to drive a tractor). With that button, slowly pushing on it, I was using just the trailer to stop me or to straighten out the trailer if it sway.

Answer:	I put it in a 1999 GMC and purchased the adapter and pluged it in and ran a a hot wire to the battery which is recommended. My brother in law bought the adapter for his 04 F250 so yes you need to get the,adapter for your model and then it is plug and play except for the hot wire.

Answer:	You should be able to purchase a towing harness from your local Toyota dealership. This will plug into the vehicle harness in your truck and will wire to your new brake controller.
Question:	How to Adjust brake control to match trailer
Answer:	On my controller, I have a + and - button and a red button. What I did was pull my trailer to about 25 mph then applied the red button, which works just the trailer brakes. The first time, it locked up the trailer brakes. Then I hit the - button and tried again. I did this until the brakes wouldn't lock up. Then I started using the truck brakes, and adjusting the trailer brakes, using the + &- buttons on the controller, until I could feel the trailer brakes applying with the same amount of force as the truck brakes. This took a little trial and error, but if you take your time it can be done. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Autowbrake does integrate with the breakaway switch. The breakaway is an emergency feature and is designed to activate only when the trailer disconnects from the tow vehicle accidentally when being towed. The Autowbrake provides trailer braking under normal towing conditions.

Answer:	I do not believe there is a wire harness for the G63. It would have to cut and spliced into your vehicle. There are issues installing these in Mercedes that could fry your onboard computer system if done incorrectly. I recommend a different avenue like the Curt Echo that links to your smart phone through Bluetooth. Answer:	it's not so much an issue of fitting as much as making sure you get the right wiring harness for your truck which is normally sold separate from this unit. So just do a search for your trucks harness. You can even go to the manufacturers website and look up the right harness model number then search for it on Amazon. Great unit you'll love it.
Question:	I have a 2013 silverado 1500 lt. has factory towing package. do i need an additional harness? how do i found out which one if so
Answer:	Manufacture states power draw is so low (3.6 milliamps when not in use) that it would take 3-4 months to drain battery if allowed to sit without starting. Then would be the time they would recommend disconnecting unit from vehicle wiring.
Question:	Does it have a digital read out to tell you what degree it's currently adjusted to
Answer:	Most electric brakes will not "engage" when driving in reverse. The magnets will still grab, yes, but the camming action that forces the shoes to the drums is reversed and thus should not cause any issues.
Question:	is this unit "proportional" or "timed
Answer:	It comes with a pigtail that plugs into back of unit and stranded wires on the other end to hook up to the car. If you have a newer vehicle that is prewired for electric brakes, you can purchase a pigtail to plug into the prewired side plug. My vehicle came with that pigtail in the glove box when I bought it.
