| Answer: | No, it isn't missing anything. I have this kit and it is intended to be power for a winch. You can use it however you want to. The long cables, for example, can run from the battery to the rear of the vehicle to provide power and the short cables can be used to connect to something like a winch, or the short cables can be wired to the battery and stored under the hood to be deployed with the clamps as jumper cables. You can disconnect the clamps so you don't short them against metal under the hood. You can also use the short cables to power something attached to the front of the vehicle like a winch or snow plow. This truly is a universal kit. |

| Answer: | They will mate up to the terminal posts that are included and yes they are male and female after terminals are inserted and locked. The four terminals are all the same (male) but it is the connectors that make it male/female. However, The terminal fittings DO NOT FIT A 2 GAUGE WIRE/CABLE!!! I had to have them drilled out and also countersunk to get my brand new 2 gauge battery cables to fit! THEY ARE CLEARLY NOT FOR 2 GAUGE WIRE, ONLY 4 GAUGE! |

Anderson puts different stops on the plugs to accomplish this....in an emergency those stops can be defeated, but then that plug would be compromised and may allow for problems later, i.e...wrong voltages or being overloaded. |

Driver Recovery Products' quick connector set gives the user a simple, convenient way to connect and disconnect power to winches and other electrical devices. These are constructed of tough polycarbonate with a fitted rubber boot on each end to guard against dust, moisture, corrosion, and the elements. The connector ends are identical so that the user may connect either end to the power or load side. They are mated, meaning they connect in only one direction (polarity). The connectors are designed for low voltage use (12-36 volts DC). The set is compatible with any winch, but the ends may not match the connectors included with other brands. The connectors are suited for high-current use with winches rated 8,000 pounds or higher. The true rated capacity is 175 amps, although some dealers quote higher numbers for similar or even inferior connectors. Terminal pins are 0.35" in diameter and can accept up to a 4 gauge wire. Connectors measure 3-1/8" long x 2-1/8" wide x 1" thick and measure 5-1/4" x 2-1/8" x 1" when connected as a set. The set is easy to use; just insert the wires into the terminal pins, crimp or solder. The pins can then be inserted into the connector housing and lock in place. Each kit comes with a pair of connectors (2 connector ends, 4 terminal pins, and 2 rubber boot caps).

| Answer: | I am using it on the badland 9000 which is very similar in electrical demand. You may need to ream the holes in the ends of the contacts where the wires MUST BY SOLDERED in if the gauge of wire you use is too large to fit in. ( note I have used several sets of these very connectors and some come with slightly larger holes to insert the electrical wire into the smaller ones needed reamed about 1/32 inch for the gauge wire I was using ) Also I use these with the higher amperage rated blue plugs which have only larger holes for larger gauge wires , no rubber covers included and are blue instead of red. |

| Answer: | I put in #2 wire on mine and soldered the connection, it fit snug and will easily carry the 400 amp I needed for quick connect jumper cables. I dont think you could get any larger than #2. |

| Answer: | They are Anderson Powerpole connectors, the wire is roughly 8ga, so I believe they are Anderson SB150. Possibly SB175 though. |

| Answer: | I engineered the silanoid that came with the winch to work with extra warn disconnect cables. Answer, you can use the silanoid, but you need warn disconnect cables if you plan on taking it on and off. |

| Answer: | Hi Richard, I ordered these to install a crane in the back of my pickup, however, I know a little bit about 12V stuff. You will probably need a heavy duty 12V relay, a rocker switch, and probably 10 or 12AWG wiring. A quick search on Google on how to hook everything up should be useful. Hope this helps |
