Answer:	500 lbs is just not accurate. I only had 210 lbs and the weight was evenly distributed. The Shank between the receiver and the pivot joint twisted like a piece of rope! This was only the second time that I had used the basket and it was only 4 months old. WHEN I CALLED CURT ABOUT THE PROBLEM THEY REFUSED TO COVER THE PART UNDER WARRANTY AND STATED THAT I MUST HAVE HAD ALL OF THE WEIGHT ON ONE SIDE! Answer:	Inside dimensions “actual cargo space” is 58 1/2 x 19 1/2

Answer:	You can always buy an extender that bridges the gap between the mount/receiver on the vehicle and the basket. It will lock in place and allow for more room between the tire and the basket if needed. I have one and will use it with my bike rack. Also, I purchased a two pack of locks so that I can lock the basket and the extension to the receiver. Purchased all of them on Amazon. I have a 2019 Chrysler Pacifica and there is not much room between the back door and the basket when folded up; my receiver is up under the back end and does not stick out very far. I actually put some pipe insulation rolls on the basket to protect the body if it bounced; put them on with Yellow duct tape to give it more visibility.

Answer:	You can fit 2 32 gallon trash cans with room to spare. In those trash cans you can fit at least 6 or 7 stuffed 13-gallon bags in each, which would yield 12-14 bags. Not sure why others wouldn't use pails to maximize capacity. Those bags are so thin I would never want to put them directly in a cargo rack.

Answer:	This fits any size of bike. I had two 26 inch mountain bikes, a 16 inch, and a 12 inch kids bike at the same time.

Answer:	i would say no.......and yes.......the platform itself is plenty large, but the stabilizers that pivot up to slide onto the tires will be too narrow. They were too narrow for my mountain 29er which does have fairly fat cross country tires(2.2?). However: i was able to expand these stabilizers wider by bending them open to make them 'fit', and now it works fine. You probably could do the same, although you'll have to widen more than i did. i was able to do it by hand(cuz i only needed a little bit more space) but you might have to exert a little more force for the 2.5s. i feel that it would be possible.
Question:	How have you prevented the bikes from rubbing together? My wife and I have nice road bikes and the kids have craiglist specials
Answer:	I have used this with 4 bikes at a time. Alternate the bikes, i.e. handlebars left, handlebars right. That way the seats and handlebars touch, but nothing painted can touch. One modification I made is that the hole for the pin inthe hitch receiver seemed way too close to the end of the tube. This had the rack sticking out about 10" more thannecessary. I drilled new holes (5/8" dia.) further in. It's not absolutely necessary to do this, but I feel it added tothe stability. The rack is very sturdy. We use 4 mountain bikes (heavy) and drive on rough back roads. The tire holders hold the bikes quite firmly in place. They provide a ratchet strap to cinch them down. They stay solidly in place. The rack is a little on the heavy side, but it's made of solid strong steel.

Answer:	We used it behind a Chevy Traverse on a cargo carrier that fits into hitch and we couldn’t tell it was there. No wind noise and it is definitely waterproof.
Question:	Can it fit a slightly smaller carrier? My carrier is 52x17. The soft sides indicate that it could be "squished" in, but curious if others had success
Answer:	Our carrier is slightly larger than the bag, so it fits perfectly inside the carrier rails. Yes, the bag is soft and can be easily “squished“ if necessary. However, You just won’t be able to fill the bag to capacity with a smaller carrier. I would recommend searching for cargo bags based on the dimensions of your carrier.
Question:	Is this bag heat resistant? My carrier is not in line with the exhaust but on long trips tarps will melt but not plastic bins
Answer:	It resists the heat of the sun very well, I have dual exhaust that comes out below my carrier and I drove over 3,000 miles through 16 States and when we got back home the bag is in excellent condition so I would say it is constructed very well

Answer:	To all the disrespectful JAs out there, these straps are NOT your run-of-the-mill tie-down straps. The buckle is actually 6-7 inches up the strap, which begs the question, is there another way to do this? I think this is a good question, and if the Mockins rep could weigh in on whether there are any alternate buckling configurations, I'd be open to hearing about them.

Answer:	You are so right. I too was confused because I am getting a long trunk made to fit the carrier. I got the Arksen so that a long trunk/custom made box could fit snugly. The previous carrier had no frame and was a bad product. My tradesman was trying to fathom the inner measurements before the carrier arrived. Now we have the exact measurements for a snug fit. The Arksen carrier is the most secure tray, especially when you are driving at 110km per hour. The frame around the tray is very sturdy and very useful to strap on things. Question:	have you resolved the weld issue? I don't have time to test it and will be using it to drive across the US and want to be sure it doesn't break
Answer:	I’m not sure about yours specifically, but it’s fairly universal. We have used it behind our Tahoe, a mini van, and a pickup truck severa times. You need to have the correct receiver on your vehicle. With th basket down, I can fit between the basket and my Tahoe. If it’s loaded properly I can still open the hatch.
Question:	What is the distance between the end of the receiver and the basket
Answer:	Unless flames shoot out of your exhaust, you will be fine. If flames do shoot out of your exhaust, first, AWESOME, and second, you should probably have that looked at.
Question:	Will this fit a 2019 Toyota 4 runner
Answer:	If you have a spare tire on the back of your vehicle it may not be long enough to go into the hitch reciever. In my case, a Jeep wrangler 2015 spare tire blocked the ability for the carrier to reach the hitch reciever. It reached but could not be inserted enough to put the pin in.
Question:	Will this fit a 2019 Ford Escape? Will the dual exhaust be a concern for fire
Answer:	I purchased to truck mud flaps and cut them to fit the bottom, then I strapped a locking plastic box to the carrier. I drove from Alaska to Ohio and back without a problem..... the box still got some dirt on it, but then so did everything!

Question:	Length is 57” - 4.75 feet. CA legal code is no more than 4 ft over hang. Is this rack illegal in some states due to length
Answer:	See California code 24604, it can stick out further than 4 feet with flags (and lights at night). My estimate from the bumper to the end of the bike rack is about 53 or 54 inches with my hitch. When you put a bike on it, it will probably stick out a bit further.
Question:	Is this rack rated to be mounted on the back of a Travel trailer
Answer:	I dont what you mean by rating, but some RV tear hitches have a low weight rating, so I suggest you check that. It works on my SUV receiver. The other possible concern is how far it sits behind the vehicle, especially with the bike rack. Bikes will be about 3-1/2 feet or more from the back of the trailer.
Question:	Does the rack come with a safety feature so it can not be easily stolen
Answer:	Yes the bolt for the trailer pin screws in and can be tightened down with a wrench. It would make it tough but not impossible.
Question:	Can the bike rack be attached directly to the hitch on its own (without the cargo carrier
Answer:	No, it is made to go over a 2 inch square steel piece, not inside. I plan on making my own 2 inch steel short adapter to put inside the hitch and have the bike rack slide over with a hole for the pin. That way I can use it either way.
