ORIGIN

Carnauba Wax is a vegetable wax comes from the leaves of a Brazilian palm tree (Copernica cerifera) known as the “Tree of Life.” The palm species which our carnauba wax is derived from flourishes naturally in Brazil. This is not the same species that palm oil is pressed from, and is a tree that grows wildly in native forests. Once a year the leaves are pruned by hand from trees found growing naturally in the forest. This harvesting practice allows the trees to continue with their natural growth cycles.

WHO IT'S FOR

Carnauba Wax has a multitude of uses, so it can be used by almost anybody. It's great to use as an ingredient in skin care recipes as well as being food-safe. It can be used as an extra protective coating on wood floors and furniture, and can be buffed to a brilliant shine.

INGREDIENT FOR VEGAN SKIN CARE

Carnauba wax is a wonderful ingredient to use in natural cosmetics. It is extremely durable, and dries to a glossy finish. Commonly found in lipsticks and lip balms, it may also be used in salves, balms, and in any recipe where beeswax is called for.

To use Carnauba wax in your recipe, it must be heated to a higher melting point than beeswax. It requires a temperature of 180-185 degrees in order to melt. Please note that Carnauba wax is harder than beeswax, and this must be taken into consideration when incorporating it into your recipes.

Carnauba wax produces a glossy finish which makes it an ideal ingredient in automobile and boat waxes, especially combined with beeswax. In the 1960s, pure Carnauba wax was used as a coating on speedboats in particular to increase speed and handling.

Question:	How long is the cure time for this wax
Answer:	i am a car nut as opposed to just a regular nut. on a 96 impala ss i used a machine and it was scary as to creating swirls and so on. meguiars is the finast wax and product line i have ever used and in over 50 years of detailing great cars i wish i would of found this out long ago. by hand you simply do a better job and a safer job. it takes longer but the finished product is worth it.
Question:	Does this come with a applicator pad and Microfiber towel
Answer:	The 3 step paint treatment from Meguiars recommends using the 3 products: Compound for removing swirl marks, contamination, scratches and rust. Polish for dark colored cars to enrich the color. Wax to protect the paint. If your paint is in mint condition, you probably don't need Compounding and you can go directly to Waxing. By the way, this is the best Wax ever !!
Question:	How long should I leave the wax on
Answer:	You absolutely CAN use it on a new car. I did, applying it the second week after I bought my metallic black car. I did it in my garage where there was no sunlight, but a shady spot on the driveway would also be good. I applied it by hand in small sections, following the directions carefully about not letting it get too dry. I used several clean microfiber cloths to remove it, and finished with a very light buffing with my polisher, though I think this last step wasn't necessary. It does NOT hurt the clearcoat. Info on the package confirms this. I think the Meguiar web site says the same thing. Take a look at Meguiar dot com for more details, but I highly recommend this product, and Amazon's price is far better than what you'll find in auto parts stores, or big box stores. I was very pleased with the outcome.

How to prepare the vehicle’s paint before applying wax protection

Tips for applying Meguiar’s Gold Class Carnauba Plus Wax

Answer:	To extract the wax from the palm tree leaves, no solvent is used. The leaves are pounded and the wax flakes (which are on the outer surface of the leaves) fall off.

Answer:	No. It's too hard, smooth, and the melting temperature is too high. You need a flexible, sticky, lower temp wax for use on skin. Buy one that is specifically mixed for hair removal. This is not it!

Answer:	Yes it will harden, I melt 50% carnauba to 50% bees wax to make it more pliable. The more carnauba you use the more hard it becomes, the more bees was you use the more pliable. This 50/50 mixture I just use a spoon to get a bit out and rub it on.

Answer:	I doubt it, you can use a rubbing compound on the finish. On the window just a razor blade carefully. Wax isn't made to remove paint. Maybe weekend mineral spirits, then wax the color back

The waxes in Wax-It-All help repel moisture but they don't waterproof the wood, so moisture can eventually soak through. If the wooden wine glasses are for decoration, then Wax-It-All should work fine. If the wooden wine glasses are for use, then consider a harder finish (waterproof finish).

Answer:	possibly. This wax is very hard. I use it with a buffing system to Polish wooden items I have turned on my lathe. I use it to “charge” or load a buffing wheel then buff items I have lacquered or oiled.

Answer:	If the sun roof is glass, yes.
Question:	Will this work to polish a knife
Answer:	Carnuba wax is a little more aggressive on oxidation and will fill in open pores and light scratches. Not being able to tell the difference after using liquid wax means your paint is in great condition and doesn't require anything else. The new polymer wax (liquid wax) has the same protection as Carnuba wax does (1 yr).
Question:	could I melt this and fill it in a hole and let it harden
Answer:	Carnauba Wax comes from the Carnauba Palm Tree. It's a great wax to use and a tough and slippery wax. Just in case you are new to Auto Detailing... I use a synthetic paint sealant called JetSeal (2 coats) then a coat of Carnauba Wax. I find this better protects the paint and living in Florida also provides me with UV protection as well. Answer:	It can be used in shoe cream if it is used in conjunction with some sort of oil. Depends on if you want to polish it, soften the leather, or harden the leather. I would do a search on the internet about carnauba wax and its use on shoes. Maybe also search for a recipe for the wax for shoes on Youtube

Answer:	Carnuba is not a polishing compound but a finish protectant. Look for “polishing compound” for whatever type of metal you have. I don’t think you would want to wax a knife.

Question:	Do u use the clay bar before or after u apply the wax? looking on their video on a youtube it shows they use the clay bar after applying the wax
Answer:	I apply tech shine 2-3 times per year. Once in early spring, possibly a summer touch up, then once again in the fall, just before the cold sets in. Best product I’ve used for winter protection, snow just slides off most of the time. Apply liberally to all the windows for best winter visibility.
Question:	Can i apply this without any special preparation of the car; in other words, after just a good wash
Answer:	I've only waxed one car with it and it took very little of the bottle. It was very easy and gave a great great shine. It left my truck very slick like a paste wax that takes hours to apply. Great product!!!

Answer:	Varies.. If your car is not exposed to the elements (parked in a garage). You could get multiple washings before having to re-apply. Certainly hot sunshine, road salt/cinders even pollen could shorten the life of the "wax".. But over all, it saves hours of time spent waxing the old way, every time you apply.. And it's easy to use. You will smile real big and certainly agree it's well worth using! The combination of Aerolon on my car, and RainX on my windshield, is unbeatable!
Question:	How many times will this cover a whole car
Answer:	Not to cut you short, but: Follow the Manufacture's washing instructions, by making sure your use it in the SHADE. And don't waste any time applying and washing off. I use a leaf blower and a soft terry towel to "touch it off". The trick is getting it on and off quickly, so the hard water doesn't affect the surface.. Sunshine is a no, no. Especially with hard water.

Answer:	I would recommend using this as the 3rd step after buying the Mother’s Pure Polish step one then the step 2 Mother’s Micro Polish glaze. I did the 2 steps and followed the directions last year on my 2002 BMW and it was a huge improvement over the Other high end PS products I used in the past. The polishing steps bugged out lots of light scratches and brightened up the paint on a 15 year old car. I prefer using a natural wax but only after doing the other 2 steps. These Mothers products are great and the prices are fair.

Answer:	There's three different steps "abrasiveness"of mothers waxes. Step1 in a cleaner only, Step 2 (mothers 0550 brazialian carmina CLEANER wax is step 2 a cleaner and wax. Step 3 is Mothers Brazilian Carmina Wax note no cleaner only wax.I use step 2 in the beginning just to remove haze and minor stuff. From then on only the pure wax mothers brazialian wax .no cleaner to maintain the shine withoutt removing clear coat or paint as cleaner will remove these

Answer:	This wax is so easy to put on and take off, put on a couple coats will be very easy. I have used this wax for many years. Since I do have my car clayey and deep cleaned each spring after the winter, I just put one coat on. Then put on another coat whenever after I have wash the car.

Answer:	Well, you only need apply a thin coat as you will buff off again after drying. I would think it would cover the floors of multiple moderately sized rooms if that is the goal. I use it on furniture and a single can lasts for over a year.

Answer:	Takes about 1/2 hour to dry enough to buff surface lightly back and forth with grain using a dry paint brush. You will get a satin finish. Be patient and buff lightly. If you let it set after first application without buffing you may get streaks including high and low spots. After several hours you can polish with a light cloth. Surface will harden within several days and additional buffing can increase gloss. Dries clear. Works great on top of a poly finish.
