Question:	how long must you wait to wet and wash a vehicle again after applying wax? why
Answer:	No, there is NO REASON AT ALL. From my own mistakes: I didn't take good care of my paint when I got the car. It was a lease and I really didn't expect to keep it. TODAY, I'm looking at early-stage clear coat failure on the horizontal surfaces of the car. For this reason, YES,USE IT! Give the car a good wash, and pick up a claying kit. Use plenty of the quick detailer; follow the directions. Rewash to remove whatever residues might be left over. You'll feel the difference - SMOOOOTTTTHHH! Apply the 476 THIN; once it hazes, it should buff off easily. Start by doing ONE panel to get a feel for it. If it's hard to remove, you have it on too thick. If it smears, it needs to set-up longer. Initially, you WILL have it on too thick. Guess how I know that! As you get the application dialed in, you will LOVE this stuff. If you put on, let's say, one coat per month, from now 'til winter, you just might be protected 'til spring. It's GREAT stuff, and you'll be surprised at how little you actually need in use. One note: Do not get it on the black trim; it WILL stain it if you don't get it off RIGHT NOW. Just go slow around those areas; you can speed up once you're away from those pieces. One thing you might want to ALSO pick up (I get it locally) is Collinite's 845. It's a weird liquid-paste. It's safe for the black trim, and is stupid-easy to use, but it doesn't last as long as the 476. 845 is great for the door jambs, and such, where you don't want to risk staining the weather stripping, windlace, etc.
Question:	I use the real meguiars liquid wax every 6 months or so with a buffer. i wash the car weekly should i use this every month or so or will it affect the real wax
Answer:	Yes, this stuff is awesome! It lasts a long time, so you don't have to keep re-waxing every 3 months. For me, it lasts about a legitimate year on my car, and about six months on my motorcycle. Before you put this on, clean the chrome with some kind of metal cleaner polish, then apply this as a second protective coat. I'm not too sure how long this will last on those parts though, since they are very hot. Hope this helps

Answer:	I apply tech shine 2-3 times per year. Once in early spring, possibly a summer touch up, then once again in the fall, just before the cold sets in. Best product I’ve used for winter protection, snow just slides off most of the time. Apply liberally to all the windows for best winter visibility.
Question:	Can i apply this without any special preparation of the car; in other words, after just a good wash
Answer:	I've only waxed one car with it and it took very little of the bottle. It was very easy and gave a great great shine. It left my truck very slick like a paste wax that takes hours to apply. Great product!!!

Answer:	Varies.. If your car is not exposed to the elements (parked in a garage). You could get multiple washings before having to re-apply. Certainly hot sunshine, road salt/cinders even pollen could shorten the life of the "wax".. But over all, it saves hours of time spent waxing the old way, every time you apply.. And it's easy to use. You will smile real big and certainly agree it's well worth using! The combination of Aerolon on my car, and RainX on my windshield, is unbeatable!

Answer:	Not to cut you short, but: Follow the Manufacture's washing instructions, by making sure your use it in the SHADE. And don't waste any time applying and washing off. I use a leaf blower and a soft terry towel to "touch it off". The trick is getting it on and off quickly, so the hard water doesn't affect the surface.. Sunshine is a no, no. Especially with hard water.

Answer:	Yes, this could certainly be used on gloss black wheels, just make sure the wheels are clean first.

Answer:	No, very bad idea. You will scratch your paint and cause swirl marks by rubbing dirt across the paint. Meguiar's Quik Wax is only meant to be applied to clean car. Use a Quick Detailer to clean off any dust or light debris first if you feel the need to apply a spray wax without doing a full wash first. A Quick Detailer has more lubricity to safely remove contaminates, whereas a spray wax does not. Two very different products and uses.

Question:	Has turtle wax addressed the leaking container issue
Answer:	I purchased the Mothers product as a follow-on or maintenance product to keep my headlight lenses clear after using the brilliant 3M kit that uses the drill, foam pad and sand paper. While Mothers suggests this "clarifies, protects, and maintains", my interest is really only in the later 2 aspects of protect and maintain. The 3M kit worked so well for clarifying the lens, that I wouldn't consider switching should the need arise again. What convinced me to at least try this product was the inclusion of the UV inhibitors. Could be that this is marketing nonsense that I've fallen for; but, thought I'd give it a try. I apply this by hand once a month per instructions. Seems like a very fine polish unlike, say, the polish included in the Turtle Wax kit which you could see and feel cutting plastic even when using it with hand application. If you're looking for a fine maintenance polish then this one seems like a good fit.
Question:	How similar is the protection to a dedicated full ceramic application

Answer:	The silver part sticking off of the back of the black Velcro piece fits in the drill. If it's not there, then it's broken.

Answer:	If the tonneau cover is hard surface this product would preform well. Lucas has better products for use vinyl/other softer material

Answer:	Hi Lauren, I just looked on the bottle and it doesn't say anything about it, but usually if it doesn't contain silicone it'll say bodyshop friendly. This doesn't say that on the bottle. You could check with Lucas. Sorry I couldn't help you better.

Answer:	Much better than any other quick wax I have found. Holds up to only about four or five washes.
Question:	Can this be used on a table saw top to protect against rust
Answer:	I don't know why not. I use it on several surfaces. Kitchen counters, stove. refrigerator. Not sure about the rust protection. I would say it needs to be reapplied once a month. I noticed it doesn't seem to last long on the cars.

Answer:	This product works better when the car is wet. You can spray it over any kind of wax/sealant. I would recommend using Speed Shine or some other instant shine product on a dry vehicle.

Answer:	I have used both Mcquires black wax and Turtle wax black spray wax, both are fine. Thanks s however if your car is in good shape and you want the best spray wax this is it. Way easier to use , never streaks even on black car.

Answer:	I have used both and prefer this . Much "thicker" or wax like quality. On a black car which is always a bit harder Griot never once streaked. It also is large bottle that has a very good sprayer and leaves a very smooth finish. I like Mcquires, but do see a step up with this. I think the premium price is worth it but I can say if price wasn't an issue this wins hands down

Answer:	I would not use it on glass, use Rain-X instead. As far as plastic is concerned, I don't think it would hurt or discolor the plastic but that's not what it is designed for. It is made for waxing a car's painted surface. They make other products formulated for vinyl, plastic, rubber, leather etc. . I bought the Mother's Protectant for that purpose.

Answer:	I bought the red wax to try to cover up some dock scars on my boat and it didn’t hurt the decals so it shouldn’t be an issue.

How to prepare the vehicle’s paint before applying a wax

Meguiar’s Smooth Surface Clay Kit comes with everything you need to safely remove contaminants bonded on the paint and leave it as smooth as glass. Next, evaluate the paint for below surface defects. If you have light to moderate swirls, scratches, oxidation, water spots, or etchings you would want to use a product like Meguiar’s Ultimate Compound. Then, you would follow with a polish like Meguiar’s Ultimate Polish for maximum gloss and depth of shine before applying your wax protection.

A few tips when applying Meguiar’s Hybrid Ceramic Wax

• For best results, the car should be cool to the touch and in the shade.
• Wash your car with any Meguiar’s car wash. Follow the directions on the label.
• After rinsing the vehicle thoroughly of all wash soap, spray Meguiar’s Hybrid Ceramic Wax over all exterior surfaces. Unlike traditional wax, the surface does not require 100% coverage, as the water will help spread the wax for you.

Answer:	Our Jet Black Products have black dyes to help deepen your paint over time. Black cars can be tricky to take care of with small surface scratches, swirl marks, etc., so the black dye can also help fill them in - opposed to traditional cleaner waxes that can fill in with white product.

Answer:	I have gotten some on my clear headlights from overspray and immediately removed it. Absolutely no discoloration detected. Would still play it safe and minimize the amount you get on headlights since that's not it's intended use. This product is excellent.

Answer:	I like to use the combo of the detailer followed by the wax spray on my truck. It does keep the car clean much longer and less washes. It is a miracle for black cars.

Answer:	95% of the mobile details i do for my business is in direct sunlight. And yes its 100% safe if this is all yoy have to work with. check out my being waxed photo album at www.facebook.com/pinesautodetailing to see what im talking about. this is the only wax i use o. my clients vehicals. im recieved a 100% compment while using this product. i even use it on door jams and painted rims ro give my ride as well as my cliwnts ride that extra pop theh cant quite put thier hands on. its what makes me stand out from mg competitors. im the only one in the New Orleans area that does this. :o) I hope this answers your question.
Question:	Does it have uv protection? why does meguiar only claim the nxt has uv protection
Answer:	Synthetic will last longer but carbauba has better look. My rule of thumb is I use synthetics on black and very dark colors and lean more toward carnauba with bright colors. Both get a first layer of synthetic sealant but the bright colors get top coat of carnauba or carnauba blend wax on top. Again that's just my opinion in my experience. If we are talking meguiar's products, id put ultimate on both as a first layer, then 8 hours later another layer of ultimate on black and dark colors and Meg's carnauba plus on bright colors. The carnauba is a blended so there's also synthetic polymers in it but won't last as long as ultimate Hope that helps you get to the answer you are looking for.
Question:	Can this be used on on the black plastic that on some vehicles is around the bumper area. I been using Mother's Back to Black. Just wondering if this stuff will work similar. Thanks in advance
Answer:	I'm not a fan of liquid waxes. Tried several brands including Mequiars own Tech Wax 2.0. Liquid's finished look looks amazing. However, it doesn't last. Liquid is great if you don't mind re-waxing 1-2x a month as every brand I've tried with different application methods seem to be gone the first time it gets wet (rain etc). stick with paste waxes. harder to apply and buff off vs liquids, but the amount of time the paste wax is still working vs the liquid is no contest. Ive even put liquid wax on my windshield. I have to go 60+ for it to bead. Paste beads instantly.
Question:	Is this product for the entire paint or only for black plastic
Answer:	The description probably borrowed information from the liquid version of the ultimate wax. The paste says not to get on trim. I suspect it's the solvent carrier used in the wax not the polymers themselves. But the liquid version is ok to get on the trim. The paste says not to get it on trim.

How to prepare the vehicle’s paint surface before waxing

For best results with Meguiar’s Synthetic X-Press Wax, apply to a clean surface. Using Synthetic X-Press Spray Wax

Mist the product on one section at a time and spread quickly with a clean premium microfiber towel like Meguiar’s Supreme Shine Microfiber Towels. Flip your microfiber to a clean portion for a final wipe bringing the paint to a brilliant shine. Do not allow the product to dry on the surface. This product can also be applied to a wet vehicle after rinsing. Mist on wet car and proceed with drying using a premium automotive drying towel like Meguiar’s Water Magnet Drying Towel.

Tip:

If you get streaks in the paint respray the surface with a fine mist and wipe immediately. Also, consider working in smaller areas at a time prior to wipe off.
