| Answer: | Although there is only one printed piece for say the main cape there are multiple cutting lines printed on each piece. If you want your cape to be xs you follow the cutting line marked xs on each piece. You determine what size cape you want to make and use those cutting lines. You will notice there is 1/4" difference from one cutting line to the other so if you cut on the m (medium) lines to make one cape and later want to make one that is l (large) you would just add 1/4" to each of the cutting lines or 1/2" if you want it to be xl (extra large). A 10-20 difference is quite a difference. Make sure you check the pattern for the finished measurements, not just the pattern measurements. They are also found on the envelope. I personally wear a size 12 and usually need to sew a size 18 or 20 for the correct sizing. |
