The Dritz Sew You dress form allows you to personalize the form to match your body measurements. Simply measure your body and mark the adjustment wheel tapes to make the form sew you! If you want to sew for a friend, simply mark their body measurements in a different color of ink. This color of the form is opal green and is constructed with a nylon foam-backed cover for easy pinning. Dials are located at the bust, waist and hip areas and feature rolling wheels as well as two auto-set dials at front bust and waist. The neck size can be adjusted using the dial located on the neck cap. A pin cushion is conveniently located on the neck cap for easy access to pins. The back waist manually splits using the adjustment knob located inside the form providing up to 2” of additional length. A center pole includes printed markings, and height adjuster for increasing the overall form height and a pin hem marker that can turn 360° for marking hems. Take Your Body Measurements

1. Measure bust over the fullest part.
2. Measure your natural waist – the area where your waistband most comfortably sits.
3. Take your hip measurement 7”-9” below the waistline. This should be the widest part of your hip area.
4. Have your friend measure your back waist length from neck to natural waist.

Answer:	Yes, it has a soft fabric cover that allows you to pin your garments to it.

Answer:	I do not know the exact weight but it was very light. Maybe 3-5 lbs if even.

Answer:	You can pin it, but it is a foam under the cloth, so eventually you will do damage to the foam. For things that I display, I use Clover Clips and fasten my items to themselves and avoiding damage to the mannequin.

Question:	Will this adjust small enough for young teen. About 24 inch waist
Answer:	The female dress form padding system is to adjust dress forms to a larger size, not go smaller. Most young teens with a 24" waist size can utilize a regular dress form. In my instance, the largest dress form required me to add inches to certain places such as a belly and love handles and rounded hips. My suggestion is to examine what you will be getting in the package and use your tape measure to see if this would be a good investment for what you are wanting. If she has a belly, you may only be using one of the pieces. Rounded shoulders you would use two of the pieces and so on.

Answer:	The padding system is designed for all dress forms. I own an adjustable dress form and I am a full figured woman and the padding system works for my dress form and body type. The padding dress form has instructions to help you and has various sizes of pads to place where you need more padding. It also includes a stretchable piece that goes over the pads and body of the form and holds the pads in place. This also allows you to pin your material or pattern to the form with ease.

Answer:	Yes, I use mine on a table, sometimes a chair. If you mean to display a created dress, then make it a lower table than the one you would eat at, or sew at. I move mine around depending on what part I am working on. I do hand detail work and so want that part at eye level. It's a pretty little thing, once you get it together, bit not as easy to work with as my adult size form. Still, I like mine a LOT. :)

Adjusting Body Sizes:

• Using the desired body measurements, begin with the bust measurements.
• With one hand hold the body form and with the other hand compress the upper white and lower red indicator together located on the front dial marked “AB”.
• Turn clockwise until the red indicator lines up with bust measurement. Release dial.
• Follow with adjusting waist size(AW) and hip measurement(AH).
• Programme sizes on the back panels from top to bottom and then two sides from top to bottom.

How to adjust waist length?

• To length the torso/waist, notice a black plastic toothed collar covering the white center pole located under the inside skirt of the form.
• Turn the black collar slightly to the left to disengage retainer teeth, pull down until the desired length is obtained, twist collar to the right to re-engage the teeth.
• To return to original height, simply reverse the preceding stage.

Personalising Figures:

To personalise for larger or smaller bust cups or for narrower or wider backs, adjust the four bust dials(AB) to compensate so that their sum total divided by four equals the total bust size.

Example:

(Front 90cm+Side 88cm+Back 94cm)/4 dials=360/4=90cm

Hip measurements may also be costumised by adjusting hip dials(AH)

Neck Adjustment:

Make neck size adjustment after having adjusted body sizes. To adjust, depress and turn the neck dial.Check collar size with a flexible tape measure.

Setting the hemline gauge:

• With the hem gauge bar in the horizontal position, disengage the center collar retaining clip.
• Slide the collar up or down until the top of the collar lines up with the requires height.
• Engage the center collar retaining clip.
• For full or flared hemlines, place the dress on the dress form inside out or turn the hem up to face.

Answer:	I don't know because I haven't tried putting pants on the dress form. I suppose it could work if you remove the base and slip one pant leg through the pole that connects the base and the body, then reconnect the base. However I am not sure if you will get the right look, especially if you are using it for a sewing project. I hope this helps.
