Question: | Has anyone used this with heat tranafer vinyl for small projects like a shoe or coffee mug |
Answer: | CLOVER MINI IRON is designed for pressing seams, ribbons, hems, corners, point and other activities such as quilting, applique’, paper crafts etc.… but many crafters use their creativity to extend its use to other applications. The use of Mini Iron in Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV) on Fabric is definitely common and proved to be successful, provided you use the right HTV Brand and type that could be applied at a temperature that the mini iron can handle. For other supports such as coffee mugs, there is no a clear answer to the question on if the HTV can be applied successfully or not. The results reached by the crafters that tried it vary from failure to full success. The only way to figure it out is to try it yourself.I hope this answer satisfy you. Answer: | Not sure. It fits 26 Tapestry Petite needles. |
Question: | Is this a two-part threader with a case for the top half |
Answer: | It’s been along time since I got it but I think so. This needle threader is pretty thick and there are several needles that it will not go through their eye. |
Question: | Will this work for hand embroidery using dmc thread 2, 3 or all 6 threads |
Answer: | Yes, but I wouldn't recommend it. It only worked for about a week before the metal piece separated, rendering it unusable. Seam Ripper

- Acid free product
- Package dimensions : 1.0 inches (H) x 1.0 inches (L) x 1.0 inches (W)
User questions & answers
Question: | Is the seam ripper battery operated |
Answer: | Nope. It's just a plain ole ordinary seam ripper. |
Question: | Is the handle round or oblong/oval shaped |
Answer: | The handle is a very comfortable tapered oval that is about 3 ¼ inches long; the metal part is 1 ½ inches long. I have large hands (size 7 1/2 glove) and have found this to be the most comfortable seam ripper on the market. |
Question: | Is it plastic or rubber |
Answer: | It is plastic. I thought that is was rubber by the picture. |
Question: | The measurements online appear to be for the packaging. What are the measurements of the actual seam ripper |
Answer: | I just measured this ripper that I have and here are the measurements: 4 5/8 inch long... the blade is 1 5/8 long...the end of the handle is about 5/8 inch wide and the end of the ripper where the blade and the little red ball is about 1/8 inch wide. Hope that helps.. I like mine a lot! |
Question: | Can this tip be used on the Simplicity Bias tape maker |
Answer: | I didn't use it with any additional equipment....I just used it by itself and it worked great. Made some really pretty bias.. |
Question: | Simplicity Bias Tape Machine Quilt Binding Tip 7/8" do you need a machine to use this |
Answer: | I don't know if you need a machine for the simplicity bias tape quilting tip, but unless you plan on buying the machine, I would get the clover one instead. |
Question: | Does the 1" refer to the input width or output bias width |
Answer: | It is the output width. What you will fold and sew on to project, raw edges folded under not included in this measurement. Michele |
Question: | what size to make 1/2" doubld fold bias tape? please |
Answer: | Hi. If you want a 1/2 inch strip of bias tape you would use a 1 inch bias maker. If you want to fold the bias strip again and have a 1/2 folded strip you would then need to increase your bias maker to a 2 inch bias maker. This means you would have a 1 inch strip of bias tape and then fold over. I hope this has helped you. |

Question: | Will these work with 2 strands of embroidery thread |
Answer: | Yes |
Question: | Can you use these needles for beading |
Answer: | If the hole in the bead is large enough, yes. |
Question: | Will these work with 2 strands of embroidery thread |
Answer: | Depends on the thread gauge I would expect. I'd say they will work with any thread that would also work with an "ordinary" needle. |
Question: | I see 2 holes below the top notch in the magnified photo. Do you have to pull the thread down to the lower hole? If not, what is it for |
Answer: | There's a small gap between the two holes that you snap the thread through. You end up sewing with the thread in the lower hole. These needles are wonderful. I love them. |
