Answer:	The ink is actually a very special kind of gel. Your pens perform spectacularly for at least 3 months, then the special gel ink may start to dry out. ...but mostly, they will just continue to work splendidly! Still, we recommended only ordering refills when your pens are (near) empty. That way, you'll always have fresh pens.
Question:	Wasn't this mat originally designed to be used on machines that didn't drop their feed dogs
Answer:	You'd actually have to freeze your fabric, to have the lines reappear. Only in extreme cases could this happen, but yes then the lines would come back. Solution: handwash them out and DONE! Now they will NEVER come back again. :-)
Question:	How thick is the material? The needle plate sticks up about 1/8" above the bed and the ruler base. My longarm is on a 12' frame, not a sit-down type

Answer:	Personally, I would say no. I think it is a little heavy for that but then I used it to make velvet pumpkins. I guess if you were really careful cutting it and sewing it so it hung straight it would work but the stretching in it makes that difficult.

Question:	I am looking for a square grid quilting ruler, 7 x 7 inches. Any suggestions where i might find one
Answer:	The LaPierre Studio Free Motion Supreme Slider is .020" thick. My machine is a Janome 1600P-QC. The feed dogs don't drop on this model. I have a plate which is thicker than the normal plate and is .075" above the machine bed. My machine is not on a long frame, it is in a cabinet and I free motion move the quilt and a template. I have purchased (from HomeDepot) a 3/32" sheet of plexiglass and cut an opening the shape of the needle plate then place the slider on that. If I have trouble with the plexiglass moving then I'll use double sticky tape. Maybe this will help.
Question:	Is there an 11 X 11 quilting template
Answer:	Yes. You can use it on either. It will work better on a machine that sits on top if you have an extension table, because there is more room for the quilt to sit with less drag, and you should be sure to tape it down so the quilt will not pull the slider. But the larger the flat surface you have the better it is, because there is less pull on the stitches from your quilt.
Question:	Would this work for lining up letters on shirts before iron on
Answer:	Yes, I used mine for the first time on a recent quilt, the white on black. It worked great! The one thing I wasn't prepared for is if you have a lot of marking to do, it uses quite a bit of ink. It took two of the refills to do a lap size quilt. I will be ordering more refills very soon.

Answer:	The lines you draw are .35mm wide, yet the actual width of the tip of the pen is 0.7mm. Only really important if you're trying to put a dot down through a ruler hole, or distance marker.
