Question:	How many pieces come in the pack
Answer:	I'm not sure why they are called "charm squares" but each one is 5 1/2" square. Fat quarters measure approximately 18" x 22".
Question:	Can you write on this fabric
Answer:	No. Precuts shouldn't be prewashed because with all the raw edges, they will fray like crazy. These are cut from good quality cotton (originally from Marshall Dry Goods, I found out later) and can be washed after assembling them into a quilt.
Question:	Do these squares need to be washed before quilting or have they been prewashed
Answer:	They are pre-cut 5 inch squares.
Question:	Why are they called charm squares? What is the difference from a fat quarter
Answer:	It’s just one shade.

Answer:	Most patterns for Jam Jar toppers require a 6-inch diameter circle of fabric, but these may work great for smaller size jar lids. Check your pattern for size requirements!

Answer:	I just took one square and wrote with heat erasable fabric marking pens. Very easy to do. Then touch the writing with warm iron and it disappears. That is all I know about it. Very nice material.
Question:	Would the 5x5 charm squares work for jam jar toppers
Answer:	No, - they have not been prewashed - no fabric comes prewashed - but I wouldn't prewash them before sewing them - I would sew your project and then wash once it's completed. Thanks Laura Over the Rainbow

Once again, I've found inspiration within three antique quilts in my collection dating from the 1830-1840s and from Sarah Josepha Hale (1788-1879). Sarah was a poet, an author, and editor of Godey's Lady's Book for 40 years. It was in Godey's that the hexagon design first appeared in an American periodical in 1835. In her day, Sarah was the leading influencer of fashion and all matters concerning the keeping of a home. Everything from furnishings to cooking, sewing the latest fashions, hand-crafts, sheet music and more were part of each issue. Sarah advocated the values of education and women in the workforce, and Godey's published original works by American authors, including Sarah's poem "Mary Had a Little Lamb". She was largely responsible for President Lincoln proclaiming Thanksgiving a national holiday. While Sarah's influences and trend setting ideas offer inspiration for the line, it is the wide range of prints found in my antique quilts that complete Sarah's Story.
