MIXABLE

As long as the paint is wet, colors can be mixed on the work surface with the tip or a brush to create smooth gradations of color. If the tip is stained, simply rinse it with water and re-prime the marker to restore the initial color.

LAYERABLE

WATER SOLUBLE

POSCA paint is highly blendable and water-soluble. It can be diluted to produce a gradient effect. Simply add water to your creation with a wet paintbrush to blend or dilute for a transparent effect.

STEP 1: SHAKE

To ensure a consistent texture from beginning to end, a little ball is placed inside the marker to mix the ingredients of the POSCA paint. Just shake the marker energetically (with the cap on), and you will hear its characteristic, sought-after clicking - the sound signature of POSCA!

STEP 2: PRIME

Press the tip several times on a spare piece of paper until the tip is completely filled with paint. Test it out to remove any excess paint, and you are ready to go!

STEP 3: RE-PRIME

If the paint begins to flow less freely during use, shake the marker again, taking care to put the cap back on first to avoid paint splatter. Re-prime the tip, test it and off you go again!

STEP 4: DRY

The drying time is very quick, a few minutes at most! And generally dries faster on porous

surfaces than on smooth. Correct mistakes by painting another layer over the top once dried.

Answer:	Here's what I found from another online source. I have used this specific set, but I think Uni-Posca also makes another set this is larger and is acrylic markers. These are ink, not acylic. Here's the info. If you use these, they are water-based and will interact with wet acrylic or watercolor. I used them in mixed media. They are lovely. Just remember, if you add water to them, they will move. See the info I pasted below. Answer:	Yes! I use these all the time on rocks and they work great! They dry quickly and seal well if you are putting the stones outside. Any marker will shred if you press too hard on an uneven surface, but I've had no problem with these markers.

Answer:	They can be used on glass they do not need to bake in the oven because they are paint pens you just need to shake them and push the tip to start painting the only thing is you should clear coat whatever you draw on after if you want to keep it forever otherwise it will scrape off of glass.

Answer:	these paint pens are awesome! they take a bit of shaking to get started but they are high quality, the colors are fantastic and bold, and they are very opaque when you use them. typically i only need to use 1-2 coats to make it completely opaque. they take a bit of time to dry, but they are faster than regular paint. they can be used on nearly every surface, however i would recommend sealing (with mod podge) after you finish, this makes it much more permanent so it won’t scratch off!

Answer:	I haven't used it for that, but the paint pen has a tip like a marker. Paint flows into the tip after you compress the tip a little. If the griptape is fine grained, I would think you could use this, but if it is rough, it would be better to use a brush.

Answer:	The paint (in the marker) is acrylic which is essentially plastic, so I am thinking it would work. I do know that the Sakura IDentipen writes on glass and plastic for sure.

Answer:	Paint markers are less messy, easier to transport, are more precise, and involve less cleanup. I've painted "traditionally" for over 30 years, and am just starting to use paint markers, primarily when I travel, but I'm getting so used to the portability and ease of use, that I'm beginning to use them more and more. It's more like coloring than painting, a refreshing change now and then. Obviously, it's more challenging to do some effects like blending and layering, but these do seem to work with my "traditional" mediums, and I have my "traditional" products I can haul out, when needed.

Answer:	i can tell you which ones you receive if that helps. you get the normal set of 15, a pastel set of 7, gold, silver, navy blue, dark red, fuschia and khaki green. the colors missing are probably the more neon colors, and the rest of the metallics.

How to erase or resolve

Cloth (Cotton 100%): Wash by rubbing with alkaline detergent or solid soap after putting it on painted lines directly before they are dried. (By doing this, the lines would become lighter in color or be diluted.)

Glass/Metal/Plastic: Rub off with alkaline detergent or solid soap.

Question:	What is best way to store the pens
Answer:	I store mine in a box and they are lying flat. I do not know if this is the recommended way to store them, but I have had no issues. The only thing I notice is that I must shake them vigorously for a minute to get them to put down a bright white when I use them. I have had no issues with clogging.

Answer:	I do not see why they shouldn’t. These are acrylic so should work well. I would give the slate a good wipe with either vinegar or alcohol to remove any oily residue. Let dry then use the marker. Your slate plant labels sound very cool.
Question:	Do they write skinny
Answer:	The .7 has about the line weight of a thick pen. It depends a bit on how much paint is in the tip, which to some degree you can control. The .9 has more the weight of a small marker, and the largest is quite thick.
Question:	Can these be used on fabric like a graduation cap
Answer:	Probably—it’s paint. On fabric you might have some issues with transparency, but layering the paint can help. For a graduation cap though you might prefer a fabric marker.

Question:	If these are used on canvas or paper, how do you set them? Fixative spray? Acrylic varnish
Answer:	They shouldn't need sealing on canvas or paper unless you are displaying them outside. I like using three coats Mod Podge acrylic spray sealer to coat my painted rocks. Leaves a nice shine and seems to give them pretty good protection outside. It also works well for sealing chalk and pencil sketches on paper so they don't smudge. The paint pens don't smudge once they dry.
Question:	Do these work on ceramic
Answer:	I use them for detail on top of alcohol ink and or acrylic paint or colored pencil drawings. It is acrylic paint. I don't know if it actually will work good on bare ceramic tile.
