Question:	What is the best thing to apply this with to get a smooth surface
Answer:	These are very nice colored pencils. Many colors in the box I purchased. Better price at amazon than art store (on sale). They are very smooth (using regular paper) and even without art training, you can blend colors by using different shades on top of one another. Good idea to purchase a sharpener with the can of pencils.
Question:	Will this work on an already smooth glossy surface
Answer:	I found a portfolio to hold the pencils here on Amazon......I bought 2 and they each hold 220 pencils 0r144 gel pens it's called Shulaner Color pencil case and they were $22.98 each and I love them......Hope this helps.

Answer:	According to Google, the pencils are made in China. As for the rest supplies, that wasn't clear. I hope this helps.

Question:	Does this chalkboard stand on its own
Answer:	Yes it can be used on a metal surface for decorative use only (display only). No. it will not help the paint bond to the surface any better. You should use a primer under the paint for a better bond. No, It is not dishwasher safe.
Question:	is it double sided chalk board
Answer:	I would do two to three light coats. Spray evenly, from about 6 to 8 inches away from the piece being sprayed. I use a blow dryer, on low heat and low blower setting, from about 8 to 10 away so it dries evenly without burning. Even with blow drying and touch testas dry I let 30 to 45 minutes between coats. Hope this helps.
Question:	Does the board fit in a locker
Answer:	Yes you should be able to use it on canvas. Just use a few light spray coats, dries very clear and seems to stay flexible.
Question:	Can I use liquid chalk on it
Answer:	No, This product is not water proof. It is water resistant (this means it will shed water).

Question:	Is it magnetic
Answer:	It depends on the material you paint and how many coats you put on. It works great on drywall and plywood.
Question:	Can it be sprayed on with a paint sprayer
Answer:	I have had it on my kitchen walls almost exactly one year now and I don't expect to need a repaint for a couple more. There is a teeny bit of wear, but flat black isn't really what I was going for myself. Personally I think it looks more attractive after a year of light use (shopping lists and other personal reminders). If you're expecting classroom level use, I don't know but would guess it would need an annual repaint to keep it sharp.
Question:	Do chalk pen drawings come off easily
Answer:	I did not season the paint????? once dry it worked fine I did put 3 coats on and let completely dry between coats. I did write on it and it worked well, but i do not continuously write on it.
Question:	how long does this last on the wall? do i need to repaint every year
Answer:	I have not tried it outdoors.

Question:	Does this have to be sealed or will it stay on even after washing, for example, on a coffee cup
Answer:	I used plastic cups to hold it as I applied it. The cups can't be sent through a dishwasher but having washed by hand, I just checked and it still functions as a chalkboard. If you seal it, you'll probably lose the chalk board surface. But it does stay on through mild/gentle hand washing with no sealant. I can't BELIEVE I could find that out so quickly! >.

Answer:	Didn't come with one. Just says non-toxic on the label.
Question:	Can you use liquid chalk markers on it
Answer:	Yes, liquid chalk markers should work just fine on boards painted with chalkboard paint. However, since I haven't personally used liquid chalk markers I would recommend trying it on a sample before using it on a finished project.
Question:	for those who painted on glass.. is it staying on? does it take more than 1 coat to really adhere? Should I have primed before
Answer:	I didn't prime. Did 2 coats and then distressed.

Question:	if i want to write on chalk paint do I need to seal it
Answer:	No. The people who are saying yes are not thinking this through. Toilet seats should not be painted with any kind of paint. It will stick, but when you scrub the seat to clean it, it will eventually come off like any paint. This is why things like toilet seats, bathtubs, the insides of sinks, etc., are not painted but enameled, or else made of material that is already colored (like colored plastic). Trust me--I have seen sinks and bathtubs painted in a strange Alaskan apartment complex. It is a bad idea.

Answer:	Yes. When chola painting, seal the paint with wax. it gives your work both protection and a beautiful, permanent finish.

Tips for a Perfect Chalkboard Finish

Remove any loose paint or rust, lightly sand glossy surfaces, rinse clean with soap/water and let surface fully dry.

Sanding surface before application allows for a smooth finish. Primer is recommended, especially for use on bare wood or metal. For best brush-on results, use a foam roller.

Condition Surface

After 3 days, rub the side of a piece of chalk over the entire surface to increase erasability and then erase clean.

Wait for 7 Days Before Wiping Down

In order to achieve the best chalkboard surface, wait 7 days after conditioning with chalk before cleaning with soap and water. Repeat conditioning step after wiping down.

Answer:	Hi: Don't know the answer to that question. I did use it on a metal tray and did not like the result as far as using chalk on it goes.

Answer:	no, it's a squeeze bottle. i don't know if you've used craft acrylic paints before but it's a similar top. the cap flips open and there is a small spout opening where the paint comes out.

Answer:	The best brush to use when painting Martha Stewart Crafts Chalkboard Paint is to use a soft, flexible bristle brush such as one of the Martha Stewart Crafts Taklon bristle brushes. A natural bristle brush would be too soft, making it hard to move the Chalkboard Paint around; and a chip brush type bristle would be too stiff, creating a surface that would show brush marks. A Taklon bristle brush is sturdy enough to easily move the paint where directed, yet soft enough that a smooth, even application of paint can be painted. Be sure to allow ample dry time between paint applications because you are not working on a porous surface. Make sure the moisture from the paint, as fully evaporated before applying a second coat of Chalkboard paint.
Question:	Do you need to prime the surface first? I’m hoping to paint fabric
Answer:	I've only painted on wood and metal but I think it's safe to say that it should be clean. If you're going to paint fabric maybe you should wash the fabric first. Also maybe do a test first if you have some some extra fabric.
