Question: What are the dimensions of the pocket
Answer: It is the length and width of the notebook and opens up to about 1.5 inches at the spine end. I would think that one could put in business cards and a few pieces of paper; otherwise it wouldn't lay flat when the notebook was closed.

Answer: I don't think that would work well. I think the ink would bead up and smear.
Question: Do these markers work on canvases
Answer: I have used them on canvas board but would not recommend due to the texture of the canvas. It works like watercolors do.
Question: How do they compare with the Winsor & Newton watercolor markers
Answer: Ecoline liquid watercolors are gum Arabic and dye - based. Dyes are solvable in water and have a much higher chroma (brighter colors) than found in the range of pigments available. Dyes are not as lightfast as pigments, so Ecoline is a product which is intended for works which will not hang for 100 years in a museum. Windsor Newton watercolor brushpens, as I’ve been told, are pigment and gum Arabic based, so a different color assortment is available and this would be suitable for works that need to be lightfast for that long.

Question: Are these good for coloring in an adult coloring book
Answer: If you are using one of the adult coloring books with thicker paper designed for really juicy markers, these markers would be fantastic. They are dye-based markers with vibrant colors that dry quickly. But as other customers have mentioned, if they coloring books are using a standard "copy paper" weight, or even newsprint weight paper, these markers will bleed through the paper. These markers do have a fine point tip that you can use on its side for wider coverage, or use the tips for detail work in small areas.
Question: Are these permanent when completely dry
Answer: They are water colour pens, with vibrant colours, however, being watercolour pens, they can bleed and blotch if the finished product comes into contact with liquids.
Question: Can you see it on black cardboard
Answer: The Ecoline brush pens are a dye-based liquid watercolor that are transparent colors. As the colors are not opaque, I do not think you would be happy with the results on any black or other dark color background.

Answer: I don’t think so. These don’t fray very easily like other brush pens unless your vigorously coloring with them and using a ton of pressure

Answer: These markers are filled with a dye-based liquid watercolor formulation. They are extremely juicy and are often used on canvas, canvas paper, watercolor paper, mixed media paper, marker paper, bristol, etc.

Answer: They work very well on marker paper (Graphis 360), tracing paper, or any paper that doesn't immediately sop up the ink. Regular printer paper or copy paper bleeds quite a lot. A hard paper, like high quality color laser paper, works well.

Answer: Yes, they are very good brushes. These are just as good as some of the higher priced ones that I have. If cleaned after each use they last and last. I bought a set as a gift for a fellow painter. She was very pleased. I have some myself and wouldn't hesitate to buy them again.
Question: beginning waterpainting what size brushes needed
Answer: This would be a great brush set for you! It has many sizes and shapes and the pointed tip brushes are very precise. I love these brushes--I use them for watercolor and acrylic painting--and I've been painting for over 30 years now. As an addition--I think you also need a very large, flat brush--wider than the largest one in this set--for doing background washes mainly--unless you are working on very small paper.
Question: Are the handle tips angled
Answer: If they are still the same set I got then they arent. I did buy a few others singley at the hobby store with angles so I will just use those for that.
Question: What color are the tips
Answer: Not sure what you mean by tips, that is not a brush part that I know of. If you mean by the bottoms of the handles they are a cobalt blue. Be aware that the zipper on this case seems to be just pot metal. Mine broke off in no time but I fixed it with two part epoxy putty and it has held up for like two years now.
